It was the beginning of fall,
The air crisp and cool as we walked.
The leaves falling effortlessly,
This familiar scene plays in my head
Each year now.
Then time sped by and it was winter,
Your favorite season.
You started to open up to me,
We got closer,
Everything was perfect until it wasn't.
Until I was by myself once more.
And every season was saturated in thoughts of you-
And everything I seemed to do reminded me of you
I remember all the adventures we went on-
As though you were still here beside me;
And somehow I know those thoughts of you,
Through every season
Will never leave me.
