Book One: My Love Always

Chapter One: First Year

Rosalie’s P.O.V
Summer was nearly ending and the mail had just come in and once I saw that one of the envelopes were for me from somewhere called Hogwarts, I rushed to mum and dad to show them as they both sat in the living room with James, “mum dad, look what I got. I got a letter from Hogwarts.” I said as I gave it to mum as she opened it, “well it looks like you are going to school with your brother. I’m so happy for you darling.” she said as she hugged me, “then we should head to Diagon Alley tomorrow then to get your things.” Dad said to us and both James and I had spent most of our day talking about Hogwarts as he told me what it was like there and that he had made a few friends as well, “you know, I think you’ll make fast friends when you start going to Hogwarts. I know the others will love you.” he told me and I smiled a little and once it started getting late, both James and I had gone to bed for the night since we had to get up a little earlier to get our things for Hogwarts. When the next morning came around, both Mum and Dad had woken us up and eventually I started getting ready for the day before heading downstairs to see that breakfast was already on the table and once I sat down, I began to eat. After a while, we eventually left the house and made it to Diagon Alley and I looked around in amazement and the first place we had gone to was Ollivanders Wand Shop while dad had gone with James to get what he needed for school and eventually and older man came to the counter, “hello sir.” I said to him, “are you here for your first Wand young lady?” he asked me and I nodded and smiled, “yes I am sir.” I told him before he smiled a little and began to look around before finally pulling out a box and came back and gave me the wand after taking it out of the box, “well, give it a wave.” he said and I took a moment before doing what he said only for something to break and quickly put the wand on the front desk, “definitely not that one, but that’s quite alright, you will find the one for you.” he said before looking for another wand and went through at least four more until finally finding the one that was for me and I smiled to myself and Mr. Ollivander had put it back in the box before mum paid for it before continuing on with getting the rest of my things. Once we were done, the four of us had decided to get something to eat since James and I were getting hungry and found a place to eat at and once we had sat down and ordered what we wanted, we all started eating and eventually made it home later that day.

By the time we made it home, I went straight to my room to organize my things for when we leave for the train that would take us to Hogwarts and once I was done and put it all in my trunk, James came into my room and the both of us hung out for a while until the both of us were called down for dinner and we had done so and made it to the table and sat down next to each other and eventually started eating our food until we were done and after helping mum with the dishes and putting them away, I had gone back to my room as I wanted to get ready for bed later and once I was done getting changed for the night, I read a few pages of the book that I was reading before I started getting tired and eventually had gone to bed for the night with a smile on my face for the next day as it would be the day that I get on the train to Hogwarts. When the next morning came around, I quickly woke up and got dressed for the day before packing my things and made sure that I had everything that I needed before heading downstairs to see James doing the same thing and mum had us eat breakfast before leaving the house and once we were done eating our food, both James and I rushed out of the door followed by our parents as they tried to keep up and I smiled the entire time as I couldn’t contain my excitement.

By the time we finally made it to the Train Station, both James and I were hugging our parents goodbye before eventually getting on the train and once we found an empty compartment, the both of us sat down across from each other and talked the entire time before a few people came in as well, “hey guys, this is my sister Rosalie. Rosalie, this is Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew. They’re my friends.” James said and  smiled and waved at them, “nice to meet you” Remus said and I smiled at him as the other two said the same thing, “are you guys in the same year as James?” I asked them and they all nodded, “what about you? What year are you in?” Sirius asked me, “I’m just starting.” I told him, “So you're in your First Year?” Peter asked and I nodded, “yup” I told him, “well I hope you make it into Gryffindor.” Sirius said and I smiled before looking at Remus to see him looking at me and I blushed a little when he quickly looked away. We eventually made it to Hogwarts and once I got off the train, I heard a man calling all of the first years to gather in front of him and so we have done that before he eventually lead us to a bunch of boats and everyone started to get on them before they floated away and soon enough, Hogwarts came into View and I couldn’t help but look in awe at the Castle in front of me. By the time we finally made it to the Castle, we soon walked inside and had gone up a few flights of stairs until we stood in front of an older woman, “Good evening everyone I am Professor McGonagall. Soon, you will be joining your class mates once we walk through these doors, but first, you will be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor. Hufflepuff. Ravenclaw and Slytherin. No once you are sorted into your house, they will become like your family. Now if you will follow me into the Great Hall.” she said and we followed her into a large room full of people and until we got to the end, Professor McGonagall stood in front of us, “now when I call your names, I will place the Sorting Hat on your head and you will be sorted into your houses.” she said to everyone until she started calling names and eventually called out mine, “Rosalie Potter.” she said and I walked up and sat down before she put the hat on my head, “Mmm, another Potter. You have a fair mind. You are very talented indeed. You have a thirst to make new friends and to prove yourself. I know where to put you. GRYFFINDOR.” The hat said and I smiled and went to sit next to James as they cheered as the Sorting Ceremony continued before everyone was finally able to start eating.

After the feast was over, we all had gone to the Common Rooms and once we made it to the Gryffindor Common Room, we all made it inside and I looked around and we were told where the Dormitories will be and eventually let everyone do their own thing for the rest of the night and I sat down by the window before I head James, “Rosie, come sit with us.” he said and I smiled a little and went over to them and sat down with them, “how are you liking it so far?” Sirius asked me, “I like it here.” I told him with a small smile, “well, I’m glad that you do. I think you’re going to have fun here as well.” James said as I continued to hang out with them and I couldn’t help but look at Remus and as I caught his attention as he looked at me, I couldn’t help but look away quickly and blush a little and later that night as people were starting to go to bed for the night, I couldn’t sleep so I was sitting in the Common Room as I looked out of the Window thinking to myself as a smile grew on my face until I heard someone and saw that it was Remus, “hi” I said to him, “Hi. Couldn't sleep?” he asked and I nodded, “yeah. You?” I said and he nodded as well, “can I sit with you?” he asked me and I nodded before he sat down in front of me, “what’s on your mind?” I asked him and he sighed, “a lot. But I don’t really want to talk about it though. If I did, you’d want to stay away from me.” he said and I furrowed my brows a little, “is everything alright Remus. Has something been bothering you?” I asked him hoping that everything was alright, “yeah. Everything is fine, it’s just, I’m not willing to talk about it at the moment if that’s alright with you.” he said and I nodded, “yeah of course. I wasn’t trying to pry or anything. I just wanted to make sure everything was alright, that’s all.” I told him and he smiled a little, “I appreciate that. I really do. Not any people would want to do that with someone with my condition.” he said and I smiled a little and we talked for a while longer before the both of us finally decided to go to bed for the night.
