Chapter Six

Rosalie’s P.O.V
It was another day and Fall had come around and everyday after classes, I would sit at the Astronomy after doing some homework and watch the leaves change color and Halloween had come and gone and it was finally November and I haven’t seen Remus and the others all day and I walked around the school to find them until I eventually bumped into James only to see a few small scratches on him along with his arm wrapped up in bandages, “Bloody hell happened to you? And where are the others?” I asked him worried, “I’ll be fine and the others made their way to the Common Room. Remus is also in the Hospital Wing if you want to see him.” James told me and I felt suspicious about everything but said nothing as I walked away to see Remus and by the time I had gotten there, I saw one of the beds covered with Curtains and I walked over before Madam Pomfrey came up to me, “he’s in bad shape dear.” she told me and I nodded before letting me see and once I saw him, I felt my heart drop at the sight of him, “what happened to him?” I asked Madam Pomfrey, “that’s something for him to tell you dear when he’s ready.” was all she said before walking away and I sat down in a chair next to the bed and gently held Remus’s hand, “what happened to you?” I asked in a whisper before I felt his grip tighten on my hand, “you shouldn’t be here” he managed to say to me, “what’s that supposed to mean Remus? What happened to you?” I asked him with Worry, “I’m fine. I’ll be alright.” he said to me and I felt myself tearing up a little, “you’re not fine Remus. You’re covered in massive cuts and bruises.” I told him and he looked away, “you know you can talk to me.” I told him as he sighed a little, “I know. But if I tell you this, you wouldn’t want to talk to me or be near me.” He told me and I furrowed my brows a little, “why would you think that. I would never, I care too much about you and I know James and the others do too.” I told him as he looked at me and smiled a little before that smile faded, “promise me you won’t panic?” he asked me and I nodded, “I promise.” I told him before he sighed again before speaking, “I’m a Werewolf.” was all he said as it took me a minute to process what he just said to me and I continued to hold his hand, “you hate me don’t you?” he asked me, bringing me out of my thoughts, “no. Of course not. It’s just taking me a moment to process what you just said.” I told him as he slightly nodded, “is that why James was covered in scratches?” I asked him and he nodded again, “yes. Him, Sirius and Peter have decided to become Animagus’ to help me through the transformations.” Remus told me and I nodded, “how long have you been a Werewolf, if you don’t mind me asking?” I asked him and it took him a moment before answering, “I was five when something climbed through my window at night and his name was Finrir Greyback. My father and him had some conflict at the Ministry causing Greyback to get his revenge on my father by changing me. My parents were devastated after they managed to get Greyback out of my room that night. Since then, I’ve changed every month into the Monster he made me to be and I hate myself for it. I’m surprised your brother, Sirius and Peter stuck around and I’m also surprised about you staying here right now. Not a lot of people stick around for very long.” he told me and I felt bad for him as a tear slipped down my cheek, “I’m sorry that you have to go through all of that Remus.” I told him, holding his hand a little tighter.

It had been a while since I came to the Hospital Wing and Remus had fallen back asleep as I stayed by his side before I noticed Madam Pomfrey walk up to me, “I’m afraid visiting hours are over dear. If you want, you can come back tomorrow if you’d like.” she told me and I nodded, “I will.” I told her before looking back at Remus as I stood up from my seat and gently kissed his forehead, “get well soon Remus.” I whispered to him before leaving the Hospital Wing and making my way back to the Common Room for the night and by the time I had gotten there, I saw James, Sirius and Peter sitting on the couch in front of the fireplace before they noticed me, “how is he Rosie?” James asked me, “he’ll be fine. Why didn’t you tell me?” I said to him as I furrowed my brows a little, “it wasn’t my secret to tell Rosie. We didn’t want to do that to him because we wanted him to when he was ready.” He told me and I nodded a little, “how long have you been an Animagus?” I asked him, “since last year after he told us about it.” he told me and I nodded, “I want to become one too. I want to help Remus.” I told him, “it’s too dangerous Rosie. I won’t let you do that and we both know he would say the same thing.” James said to me, “I don’t care what you think. I don’t like seeing him like this.” I told James, “you love him don’t you?” he asked me and I nodded, “yes, ever since last year.” I told James as I looked down, “fine but he’s not going to like this. I can tell he cares about you to Rosie. But before you can turn into an Animagus, I want to help you conjure a Patronus Charm first alright?” he said and I nodded and smiled a little as I looked at him, “alright.” I said to him, “I will help you on the weekends ok. We can meet outside somewhere alright.” he said and I nodded, “ok.” I said and I continued to hang out with them for a while longer before I decided to go to bed for the night and they had as well and once I finished getting changed out of my Robes and into something else, I finally got into bed for the night and just thought about everything that had happened in the last few hours before finally going to sleep hoping that Remus was going to be alright and that I was relieved to at least try and help him with James, Sirius and Peter soon.

It was another day and winter was starting to show as it finally started to snow today and James has been helping me with my Patronus every weekend like he said he would and today was one of those days and we had gone somewhere that was warmer instead this time since it was cold outside and once we found a spot, I finally started practicing my Patronus and I was finally able to get it right as my Patronus was a Tiger and I smiled and laughed at how happy I was about it, “good job Rosie. You did it.” James said to me and I continued to laugh a little as before it went away, “Nice Job Rosie.” James told me, “thanks.” I said to him, “We've given each other nicknames too. If you happen to become a tiger as an Animagus, I think it would be fitting to call you Stripes.” he told me as we left the room and made it back to the Common Room to see the others and sat down with them until we left to go to the Great Hall for dinner that night and we continued to hang out then and I sat with Remus as the both of us talked to each other most of the time as well until dinner was over and everyone started leaving the Great Hall and made their way back to their Common Rooms for the night and I had decided to go to the Astronomy Tower for a while as I wanted to think to myself and to be alone for a while until I eventually heard footsteps and I looked to see that it was Remus and I smiled a little as he sat down next to me, “how are you feeling?” I asked him, “I’m feeling better thanks.” he said to me and I smiled and nodded, “good, I’m glad you’re doing alright.” I told him, “I heard you managed to conjure a Patronus Charm.” he mentioned to me and I sighed a little, “yeah I did, James had been helping me with it. It turned out to be a tiger.” I told him and we both chuckled about it, “to be honest, I thought it would be something else but a tiger.” I told him, “what else did you have in mind about what it would be?” he asked me, “I don’t know, maybe a bird or something like that” I told him and we continued to talk for a while longer before we both decided to head to the Common Room for the night and once we got there, I started to feel tired and I decided to head to bed for the night and as soon as my head hit the pillow, I soon fell asleep that night.

It was a Hogsmeade weekend and I had gone with James, Remus, Sirius and Peter and the entire time, we were all going through the shops and getting a few things for ourselves and each other and once we had gotten back to the Castle, I had given Remus the Chocolate that he’s been wanting recently as the both of us sat down next to each other in the Common Room, “thank you Rosie.” he said to me with a smile and I nodded, “No problem Remus.” I told him as we continued to talk along with the others as we had eaten the stuff we had gotten from HoneyDukes before they had all spent the night feeling nauseous from the amount of candy they have eaten earlier that day and they had all gone to their dorms but I couldn’t sleep so I decided to stay in the Common Room for a while just to think to myself before I noticed the Remus didn’t go to his dorm and he sat down next to me from where he was sitting, “I’m surprised you didn’t run away or keep your distance from me.” he told me and I knew where he was going with this, “I told you Remus, I care about you a lot. I know you won’t hurt anyone intentionally and that you didn’t have a choice about what happened to you that night.” I told him as I held his hand, “and that means a lot. It really does Rosie.” he said and I smiled at him as he held my hand a little tighter as the both of us continued to talk for a while longer before the both of us decided to go to bed for the night and once I made it to my dorm, I had gotten changed and once my head hit the Pillow, I soon fell asleep for the night with a small smile on my face.
