Dawn's POV
We are running through the corridor of the school to reach the class with only a few seconds left for us. But we reached on time.
"We finally... reached.. at.. time" I said panting as we reached the classroom door.
"Yeah let's go" Ash said with still energy left. I just looked at him ' what is he made of'We then go inside the classroom and Ash mood shifted suddenly and I know why the student were looking at him like they don't want him to be there. I don't know what's there problem.
We ignored and sit on our seat. Mine was with Ash which I don't know why but I was happy. Then prof. Oak came inside the class he teaches us English and poetry. Idk but what is the relation of Pokemon and poem.
Anyways the class was going but I saw students still looking at ash many time. Some were looking with disgust but some were sad. I know why they all know he is a great boy and they were his friends but it all changed.
I glanced at Ash who was looking outside of window. 'Why did it happened to you'
It all started that day.*Flashback*
It was an ordinary day for Ash Ketchum, who, despite initially feeling a bit down after joining the school, had started showing interest in everything around him. Life seemed to be taking a positive turn, with Ash making new friends and enjoying this brighter phase of his life.
"Hey, Ash!" called a honey-blonde girl, Serena. Ash turned to greet her with a warm smile.
"Hi, Serena," he replied.
"So, Ash, I wanted to ask you something," Serena said nervously.
"Yeah, what is it?"
"You know, you've become a favorite among students with your kind and caring nature... and you always help people in need," she said, blushing a little.
Ash grinned cheekily, "Yeah, I'm always ready to help."
"So, I was thinking, would you like to join the student council? I mean, you're a good student, and we can work together," she said, blushing and stuttering. Ash couldn't help but notice her nervousness. 'Oh god, Serena, please don't do anything foolish in front of him.'
"Hey, are you sick? Your face is red," he teased, placing his hand on her forehead, making her blush even more. (Classic dense move.)
"Y-yeah, I'm fine."
"Okay, and yeah, I'm ready... but what if the council is full?" he asked.
"Yeah, but I think you'll be taking Calem's place, so no problem."
"Hey, I don't want him to leave because of me."
'Always kind,' Serena thought. "Don't worry about that. So, are you joining?"
"Yeah," he replied with a smile.
"Thank you, Ash!" she said, hugging him. 'Now we can work together, hehehe,' she thought.
Little did they know, someone had overheard their conversation.
"Damn you, Ketchum, first taking my place, then Serena? You won't get away with this," he said, storming off.
*Timeskip to the next day*
Ash ambled through the school campus, sensing the hushed conversations and wary glances that trailed him like a heavy cloud. The atmosphere felt thick with unspoken accusations as he headed to class, each step echoing the weight of the rumors swirling around him.
"Hey, Serena," he greeted, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
"Ash! Is this all true?" she asked, her tone a mix of disbelief and a hint of frustration.
"What?" Ash's heart sank, bracing for the impending judgment.
"The rumors... about you pretending to be good, mistreating your Pokémon, and using girls for fun then leave them once you are finished , you being involved in secret alliances or deals, ?" The words hung between them, laden with accusation.
A lump formed in Ash's throat, battling the anguish that threatened to overwhelm him. "W-What? It's not true. I never do that, and I never will. Please... believe me."
Serena's eyes searched his, torn between doubt and a glimmer of trust. "I believe you, Ash," she said, her voice wavering, "but we can't be friends anymore. And about the offer... other council members have declined your joining. I'm sorry."
"Oh, don't worry, Serena. It's not your fault," he murmured, his voice barely audible amidst the uncertainty and betrayal. "Thank you for believing me."
As Serena turned away, the echoes of her departing footsteps resonated with the emptiness that now enveloped him. From that day on, he found himself cast into the shadows, branded a 'loser' by those who were once friends. The isolation wrapped around him like a suffocating shroud, submerging him in a sea of despair.
End of Flashback
I know it was that Calem and his group who spread the rumours I swear the day I get evidence against them they will live a hell life. I once again looked at ash and smiled
I will not leave you I will stay with you till the end.
' I will be the reason you will come back. You know you are the best'
