The next day dawned with a soft glow, the sun slowly climbing above the horizon as Ash woke up, feeling a mix of excitement and a slight nervousness. The project with Dawn was finished, but today was going to be a new adventure. He knew that the memories of working with Dawn would stay with him for a long time.
As Ash walked to school, he couldn't help but replay the moment Dawn held his hand and kissed his cheek in his mind. He felt a warmth in his chest and a smile crept onto his face.
Arriving at school, Ash saw his friends gathered near the entrance. Gary, Leaf, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie were all chatting animatedly.
"Morning, everyone!" Ash greeted them, his mood noticeably brighter.
"Morning, Ash!" they chorused back.
"Ready for another day?" Gary asked with a grin, noticing Ash's good spirits.
"Yeah, I am!" Ash replied, his enthusiasm evident.
They went through their classes, and during lunch, they all gathered under the large oak tree in the school courtyard again. This time, the group seemed even more lively, sharing stories and jokes.
"Hey, Ash," Serena called, handing him a homemade sandwich. "I made this for you. I hope you like it."
Ash took the sandwich, smiling at her. "Thanks, Serena! You're the best."
Leaf and Dawn exchanged a look, feeling a pang of jealousy but trying to keep their expressions neutral.
As they enjoyed their lunch, the conversation turned to their upcoming plans. Bonnie was excitedly talking about a new Pokémon she wanted to catch, while Clemont was discussing his latest invention.
"Ash, any plans for after school?" Gary asked casually.
Before Ash could reply, Dawn spoke up. "Actually, Ash and I were planning to present our project to Professor Oak today. We finished it yesterday."
"Oh, that sounds awesome!" Clemont said, genuinely impressed. "I'd love to see it sometime."
Serena nodded in agreement. "Me too. I bet it's amazing."
After lunch, the bell rang, and they all headed back to their classes. As Ash and Dawn walked together, Dawn seemed a bit quieter than usual.
"Hey, Dawn, everything okay?" Ash asked, concerned.
Dawn looked up at him and smiled. "Yeah, I'm just thinking about our project. I'm a little nervous about presenting it."
"You'll do great," Ash reassured her. "We both will."
Dawn nodded, feeling more confident with Ash's support.
The rest of the school day passed quickly, and soon it was time for Ash and Dawn to meet Professor Oak. They headed to his lab, their project materials in hand.
Professor Oak greeted them warmly. "Ash, Dawn! I'm looking forward to seeing what you've come up with."
They presented their project, detailing how different Pokémon types interact in battles, using examples from their own experiences. Professor Oak listened attentively, occasionally nodding and taking notes.
When they finished, Professor Oak smiled. "This is excellent work, both of you. You've put a lot of thought and effort into this, and it shows."
Ash and Dawn beamed with pride. "Thank you, Professor!" they said in unison.
As they left the lab, Dawn turned to Ash, a look of contentment on her face. "I'm really glad we did this together, Ash."
"Me too, Dawn," Ash replied, his smile genuine. "We make a great team."
Dawn's expression softened, a hint of melancholy in her eyes. "Ash, I... I had a really great time working on this project with you. It's been so much fun."
Ash smiled warmly at her. "Yeah, Dawn. It's been awesome. And hey, we'll have plenty more fun times together in the future."
Dawn blushed slightly at his words, feeling a rush of warmth in her cheeks. "Yeah, I hope so."
Ash noticed Dawn's hesitation and decided to take a chance. "Hey, do you want to celebrate finishing our project? Maybe we could get some ice cream or something."
Dawn's eyes lit up with excitement. "That sounds great, Ash! I'd love to."
They made their way to a nearby ice cream parlor, chatting and laughing along the way. As they arrived, Ash held the door open for Dawn, who thanked him with a smile.
They ordered their favorite flavors and sat down at a cozy corner table. The atmosphere was light and cheerful, and they enjoyed their ice cream while reminiscing about their adventures.
"So, Ash," Dawn began, taking a bite of her ice cream, "How are you feeling now, Rather than being bullied, you find yourself admired by everyone"
"I must say, I'm feeling quite different now. ."
Ash paused for a moment, then grinned. "To be honest, I had truly missed this. I was a fool to have doubted it earlier. Life is so much better now. It wouldn't have happened without all of your support."
Dawn nodded, her eyes shining with delight. "Absolutely, Ash. We'll always be here for you, no matter what. That's exactly what she would have wanted, isn't it?"
Ash smiled warmly. "Yes, you're completely right. She would have wanted me to be happy."
"Ok now ,No need to worry"
"That's when I worry the most" Ash laughed
Dawn just sat there looking at his smiling face. " You are amazing" she whispered under her breath
"huh you said something?"
"oh no its nothing"
As they finished their ice cream, the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over the town. They walked back towards Dawn's house, the conversation flowing easily between them.
When they reached Dawn's doorstep, she turned to face Ash, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Ash, I... I had a really great time today."
Ash smiled warmly at her, his gaze softening. "Me too, Dawn."
Ash stood up. "It's time for us to return home, Dawn."
They began their journey back, exchanging goodbyes before going their separate ways.
Dawn went to her room and lay down on the bed, lost in her thoughts about the time she had spent with Ash. A slight smile crept across her face as she reminisced those moments.
'Oh, Ash'
