Zoey's POV
It's Day 2 of Zoey Summer's captivity.
I lowkey miss Chris.
Ha-ha.
Who am I kidding, I really want to see him so bad.
I'm really hungry but there's nothing I can do about it.
I'm locked in this room that's painted dark gray all over.
I have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on. I was so happy and having the best time of my life jogging towards Chris and wham bam, I'm locked in this creepy room.
There's this bed in the middle of the room and a small couch at the end of it and that's all.
I sigh for the umpteenth time. Just as I was about to stand up, I halt at a sudden knock on the door.
"You may come in."
There was a snicker from the other side of the door and I almost cringe in fear on what's going to happen to me next. He won't possibly hurt me though, I guess?
The guy saunters in, and locks the door behind him.
"Hi."
"Hi, Zoey."
"Seriously, who are you?"
He has dark brown hair and hazel brown eyes. Right after my question, a flick of fury and sadness sparkles in his eyes and they remain there as he approach me.
"Before you moved here," he pauses and takes a seat on the edge of the bed, a little too close to me for someone who captured me for god knows what reasons. Slowly, I try to shift away from him and I was met with a glare.
"Don't." And he tugs on my arm so that I'm sitting right beside him.
"Before you moved here, you were studying in this highschool."
"Obviously."
"Will you let me speak?"
"Oh yes, go on. It's America."
The guy glares at me hard and I decide to make a mental note that he is the one who brought me here so I should probably stop.
"You were pretty and smart and - "
"Wait. Sorry but why is that in past tense?"
He glares at me again but I note that his lips are curved.
"And surprisingly, you don't date any people in the school."
"Well, I prefer to be more - "
"But do you know that there's people in the school that wants to date you?"
"Oh."
"It's kinda funny that you don't even remember me." He turns to look at me sharply, but his eyes distant, as if he's reminiscing something. "When I first came to the school, the first person that caught my eyes wasn't you, but your friend with blonde hair. She was really talkative and the way she spoke so eloquently, it's refreshing. . . just a big wow for me since I can't even utter a single word to people without stuttering."
"But I soon found out that she has a boyfriend and I was crushed. But then, I noticed you."
He blinks and looks right into my eyes. This is so weird, I don't have any special encounters with guys besides Chris. Or maybe it's just me since I'm really forgetful.
"You were completely different from your friend. She's loud and you're not, she doesn't put much effort into studying, but I can see you scribbling away in the library every afternoon. I don't know, but I liked you."
