Chapter 5: Apology's and News

As soon as I finished my shower, I got dressed and left. I skipped breakfast and I didn't even do my hair or make up. I quickly left without looking up and made my way to Copeland's room.

"What do you want?" Was all that came out of Copeland's mouth when she opened her door.

"Listen I know you're really mad at me and I'm really sorry. Honestly I'm so sorry. You need to forgive me. I have shit to tell you and not good shit" I said really quickly and then took a deep breath and awaited her response.

She stepped out of the way, I walked in and shut the door behind me.

After a few seconds Copeland ran up to me, tightly hugged me and quietly said, "when is shit ever good?" And for the first time that morning I laughed.

"I'm so sorry Copey," I said tightly hugging her back.

"I overreacted. As long as you're happy, I'm happy," she said, as she slowly pulled away from the hug.

"Now tell me what's wrong. Your eyes are so red it looks like someone farted on your pillow and gave you pink eye,"

I laughed once again this time taking a deep breath in.

"Soooo...." She prompted once again.

"I got a new roommate.."

"I know.."

"It's jaced.."

As soon as I said his name, Copeland's jaw practically hit the floor.

"Your ex Jaced?" She quietly asked, obviously already knowing the answer.

Yes jaced, I thought to myself. My ex bestfriend, my ex boyfriend, my ex everything. My first love..

"Ya, him.."

"Holy shit, what're you gonna do?"

"Uh.. I guess I'm gunna talk to Mrs. Correia, tell her I'm not comfortable staying there and.." I trailed off when I saw the dirty look she was giving me.

"You're gunna move? You're kidding right? You were there first. This is not one of those times you put others before yourself because from what you've told me, he wasn't the best boyfriend."

When I said I told Copeland everything earlier, I lied. I told her almost everything. I never really talked about my relationship problems or how Jaced and I met or anything. See, Copeland and I went to different highschool's. When I first started to have feelings for Jaced I told her but then I kind of stopped talking about him until we started to date. She asked how it happened and I told her I'd tell her some day but, not anytime soon. After Jaced and I broke up, I told her some of what had happened, but I didn't tell her the full story and she knew that.

"Cope, I can't make him move out that's rude.. And honestly, he's actually a great guy.."

"I'll agree with you once you tell me exactly what happened between you guys," she said giving me a serious look and Copeland, was never serious.

I decided it was time to tell her everything that happened.
