Like Father Like Son

"ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!!" My mother screeched at me. I cover my head as yet another glass shattered above me. Blood trickled down my face from the cuts the glass had made on my cheeks. I cower in the corner, trying to make myself as small as possible. Normally when she is in these moods it is best to let her simply drain her energy. The screaming and cussing continued for another hour before she ran out of steam and slumped on the ratty couch with sob.

I quickly made my way to my room. The room that I have is a safe place. Even my mother never comes in, which makes it as calm and quiet as it gets in my house hold. Years ago my father left my mother. My mom had always blamed me for the fact that he had died. At least that is what she told me. She never would tell me how he had died though and it took me a few years to realize that he never did. He had simply walked out one day without warning and never came back. Of course that was all a cover story

"Now let's see here..."

I start to type viciously at my computer. Making changes and adding notes to the villain's uniform that I was working on. Making uniforms and weapons was one of my specialties. I was an amazing artist, at least that is what my gang said. I worked hard everyday to prove to my father that I was useful. As I type the door to my room flew open with a BANG. I turn slowly to look at the intruder only to be met with a cold smile and chilling black eyes. I wave slightly at my father who nods his head at me.

"Son."

"Is there a specific reason you're here?"

"Do I need a reason to visit my son?" He asked me with a piercing gaze.

I simply laughed and shook my head, "With you? There is always a catch." He frowned at my lack of respect but quickly waved it off. Just like he always did when it came to me. We have been in contact for a very long time. I have proven time and again how useful I truly was to him. He knew that without me they would have  no chance to win the war that was raging between the underground and the heroes.

"We need to speed up the process. The heroes are growing stronger at a faster pace than I expected. I need those weapons and uniforms at the end of next week."

"That is a pretty short time to get everything done. Plus I don't have a lot of supplies that is needed for this." I gestured at the list that was on my desk next to the MANY heroes notes that lay on the corner of my desk. A lot of the notebooks were frayed and old but they were something from my childhood that I couldn't seem to get rid of.

My father picked up the list, scanning it then putting it down with a slight nod.

"I think I can get what you need by the end of the week. I need you to  have our weapons ready, I will give you the supplies to make it happen."

I slump in relief. In reality I had no clue how I was planning on getting all of the things on that list. Then I sat straight, thinking about something.

"You realize how hard it is to get something like this. Right? Even in the black market they are scarce to come by..."

"I wouldn't worry about that my son. I don't just go to the black market, I own it. Finding something Like this should be a cakewalk."

He snapped his fingers and in a cackling blue flame none other than Dabi appeared. He bowed low to my father then his eyes landed on me and his scowled deepened into an all out snarl. I roll my eyes and return his glare with my own. My father smiles creepily at the two of us then he turns to Dabi.

"I need you to watch my son for the rest of the time that is needed to complete his tasks. Follow any orders that he may give you. Make sure nothing interrupts him from his work, there has been talk in the underground about a child with the ability to make suites and weapons out of nothing. I don't want anyone taking my prized pupil away from me."

Dabi looked like he wanted to protest but wisely kept his mouth shut and nodded, looking at the ground. I grin, can't wait to test out the whole order thing.. Maybe I could have a little fun with this. My father turned around and stomped out of the room, making a bang as he slammed the door shut. I'm surprised he didn't wake mom with all the racket he is causing... Unless he did something to her. I shake the thought off, knowing that if he had hurt her in any way she would use the anger she had towards me instead. I look back at my lap top and smile, the new weapon displayed there is going to be my best creation yet! I couldn't wait to see it in action and take notes on its progress.

Sitting down on my mattress and pulling the covers over me I had one last thought running through my mind. Let the fun begin....
