Chapter 3 - Common Decency

"Look I'm aware my mom didn't want me, but at least have the common decency to clean up the room your putting me in" Louella said as she walked into her new room
"Yeah sorry" Kelly said as he sat her bags down
"Your moms just taking time away, she's coming back" Matt said
"Oh please Matt, we both know that's not true. Anyways who's last name am I getting. Louella Severide has a nice ring to it but so does Louella Casey? So what'll it be boys?" Louella asked as she sat on her bed
"Lou" Kelly said
"What?! My dads dead so there's no point in carrying on the family name anyway" Louella said
"Hey! That's enough!" Matt yelled
"Okay, I'll let you boys decide. I'm going out" Louella said as she grabbed her phone
"Hey, No your not!" Matt yelled
"I'm 16 Matt, I'll be fine" Louella said before walking out
"This is going to be tough" Matt sighed
"We have a kid together, holy crap!" Kelly said
"After what just happened, that's all you can think about?" Matt asked
"They grow up so fast don't they darling?" Kelly said as he put his hand on matts leg
"Your not funny" Matt said as he walked out
"Come on princess, don't be like that!" Kelly yelled as he ran after him

"Oh hey Lou, how you holding up?" Jay asked
"Well my dad died and the cherry on top of the cake my mom doesn't want me! Your a cop, how do you think I'm "holding up" Louella said
"I'll shut up now" Jay said
"Anyway, you should come down to the district with us. I'm sure the team would love to see you" Hailey smiled
"Ugh fine, I've got nothing better to do anyway" Louella said
"Loving the enthusiasm!" Jay said
"Shut up Sherlock!" Louella said as she began to walk towards the car
"Why do I feel threatened by a 16 year old?" Jay asked
"Grow up Halstead" Hailey said before walking off
"I love my job" Jay muttered

Louella hung about at the district, she was sat in the back when she heard something coming from the interrogation room, she walked over to see the door lying open. Louella peeked in to see a teenage girl around her age sitting
"What are you in here for?" Louella asked
"None of your fucking business" The teenager replied
"God, no need to be rude" Louella scoffed
The teenager sighed
"I'm Anna, you are?" Anna asked
"Louella" Louella added
"What a weird name" Anna said
"I'm aware, my dad liked weird names. It was either Louella or snowdrop" Louella added
"Snowdrop?" Anna asked
"I'm kidding, I'm guessing your a tough egg to crack?" Louella said
Anna looked at the table, tracing her finger in circles
"So you gonna tell me why your in here?" Louella asked
"Got caught stealing gauze a few weeks ago, I've been in the hospital ever since until they moved me here" Anna explained
"Lou! Get out here now!" Matt yelled
"Ugh, I gotta go. Nice to meet you Anna" Louella sighed as she walked out...
