Chapter 5 - "They let you out?!"

Louella dropped by the firehouse after school, she was greeted by Casey as she walked in
"Hey you" Casey smiled
"Who's the new chick on truck?" Louella asked
"Kidd, she's been here 2 months now" Casey said
"She seems to be all over Kelly" Louella said
"Really? You didn't have this much of a problem when I got with Gabby" Casey said
"You were practically already married to Gabby when I came into your life, I had no control over that" Louella said as Gabby walked over
"Hey kid" She smiled as she hugged Louella
"Hey Gabby" Louella smiled
"Come on in, I'll get you a slice of cake" Gabby smiled as she lead her inside
"So any boys in the picture?" Gabby asked
"I wish, well I mean there's one" Louella said as Gabby passed her a slice of cake
"Really? What's his name?" Gabby asked
"Mark, he's way outta my league though" Louella said as Stella walked in alongside Kelly
"Hey Lou, when did you get here?" Kelly asked
"About 10 minutes ago" Louella added
"Did you swear at a teacher?!" Casey yelled
"Uhm" Louella said
"Well?!" Casey yelled
"I'm my defence, she thought you and Kelly were together. Either way she said you guys wouldn't be able to raise me properly" Louella explained
"Good job" Kelly smiled
"Severide!" Casey said
"What?!" Kelly laughed

An hour passed and Louella was still at the firehouse, she was sat in Kelly's quarters looking on her phone
"Oh hey, you must be Louella" Stella said
"What's it to you?" Louella asked
"Oh I'm Stella-" Stella said as Louella laughed
"The one who has a thing for Kelly" Louella laughed
"I- I don't" Stella hesitated
"Well it's been fun but I've gotta go" Louella said as she grabbed her backpack

Louella walked down to the beach to see Anna
"They let you out?" Louella smiled
"Sadly" Anna smiled
"So are you staying? You know I'm Chicago?" Louella asked as they began to walk down the beach
"That cop? Jay? He's making me stay with him" Anna explained
"Jays alright, what happened to your parents? If you don't mind me asking that is?" Louella said
"My dads a drunk and I have no clue who my mom is. What about you? Are those firefighter dudes your dads? You do kinda look like the younger one" Anna asked
"Kelly? God no! My dad died in a fire, they worked with him. Then my mom left and left me with them" Louella explained
"Hey even more reason for us to stick together" Anna smiled
The 2 girls then sat down on the beach and looked out to the water
"Who knew the beach could be this pretty in winter" Louella muttered
Anna just smiled then looked at Louella. They both locked eyes with each other. Anna moved closer and so did Louella until Louella's phone went off.
"Crap sorry, I've gotta run. Text me!" Louella yelled as she ran off...
