I woke up to the singing of birds, as if I hadn't even woken up yet, as if I had stuck in my dream. I rolled my eyes and Seth was still asleep in front of me. He sleeps deeply, almost motionless, only his chest moves up and down, he lies on his back, here too there are a couple of scars like that one on his back and face. He could go through a lot of things to get things like that. I touched the place where I was shot. It didn't hurt anymore. I took off the bandage and there is only a small scar left. Strange, but so far I haven't noticed that I'm not even in the same outfit as when I was attacked. Isn't it? I hope he's not dressed me up. If so, I'm so upset. But I noted that he has good taste. I have a black top that is long enough and a dark red pants that reaches the middle of my calf. Comfortable, but not my size, a little bigger. Clinging to the window, I stood up and set off to make breakfast, first looking through the entire kitchen to see what to choose from. Yesterday's fruits were still there, there was one of them that I could make tea without cooking, hicky. I found a scrubber that I could easily use to squeeze the juice out of the fruit, I found a two flavors I got to know, I put these in too to get a better taste and then poured it into two glasses. I grabbed mine and I sat down in the chair where Seth was sitting yesterday and started drinking tea. I watched him sleep, it was very reassuring to watch him. I had already drunk half of it when he started to turn around, as if dreaming badly. He started muttering something, at first I didn't understand. He said my name.
- Zindlora .... Zindlora .... Zindlora ....
I put down the glass and didn't know what to do. I knelt down next to the bed. He turned to me and just said my name more and more times. I wanted to reassure him, but I didn't know how. I touched his face with my right hand. I leaned closer and tried to calm him down.
- Shhh .... Shhh ... there's nothing wrong .... you saved me and I'm already healed. You don't have to worry. I'm in safe now because of you.
By the time I said these, I noticed how small the distance was between us. He calmed down. I put my head down on the bed, my hand is still on his face. After a few moments I felt his hand touch my shoulder, I looked up and saw the glowing golden eyes again. I felt embarrassed as my blood jumped over my face and blushed. All I could do was smile. He smiled too, which was strange because of his many times his gloom.
- Thank you. I don't know why this happened to me. That night burst into my memories again when I couldn't save you. I heard you and thank you. - he said as he put his hand on my hand. I was suddenly embarrassed and took my hand. The cold ran down my back from the touch of his hand, I don't understand why. So far, I haven't felt such a tingling sensation as when I'm around. Strange but good feeling.
After my thoughts came back I remembered the tea, I quickly stood up and then bring him the other glass, he sat up and looked at me in amazement.
- I don't know what it is, but thank you. I try it then. - he drank.
He cut a satisfied face and then took another sip.
- It tastes great. - he added
- I'm glad I know these, the fruit, the other flavors. - It's called tea by the way anyway, it's one of the easiest I think, it can be made without heating and water. - I said
After we both drank it I washed the glasses in a bowl of water that Seth brought into the house.
- Show me your wound, I hope you didn't force yourself to hurt you. - he said in a worried voice.
- I don't think making tea is stressful.
I also put a little laugh at the end. - I remembered my clothes
- Seth. Whose dress is this?
- Well ... mine. At least it was. I had to cut it out because of your wings.
I was surprised by his answer, although it was understandable why it is big on me then.
- And ... who changed me? - I asked, a little embarrassed
- If I remember correctly, it was me. But you don't have to worry, I didn't see anything. The man keeps this for a woman until he gets permission to do so. - he said as his emotions were read on him. It's kind of appealing to me.
His response completely surprised me.
We were silent for a few minutes and then Seth broke it.
- Do you want to see the outside world?
I answered it without hesitation.
- Yes, I'm very curious about the many species that live here. - I was completely enthusiastic.
- Wait a few more minutes if you don't mind. then he slipped out the door. He returned after minutes but I also heard other footsteps, it was bigger and heavier. They stopped at the door. Seth opened it and came in, turned back and gestured. The next moment I saw a large body of light brown hair, slightly bent down to come in. When it got in, I decided to sit on the bed instead. He was an Oriden, a cat-headed, muscular, heavy armored creature. There was a mane around his head, a red torn cloak on his back, armor on his shoulder that was fastened to the leather belt on his belly, it was not a smooth belt, it was almost so wide that it covered his entire belly. He was wearing red loose pants and had an ornate sword on his belt. I was just amazed at what I saw.
- You must be Zindlora, Seth told me a lot about you, he's all there for you. - he said in a roaring voice, closing his sentence with laughter. Seth hit his left arm with his fist, but the creature hardly felt it, just laughed on.
- This is Taiki, my best friend. We have known each other for quite some time, I trust him the most.
Taiki stopped laughing and cut a serious face.
- Show me your wings, please. -
I didn't understand why he was saying this but I stood up and spread them out, they were too big to spread them straight so I would stick to the wall of the house to adapt to its round shape. I saw Taiki's admiration, his chin almost dropped.
- Tell me, can you hide them on your skin?
I raised my eyebrows, very surprised by what he said. I've never heard of anyone doing this before. I was looking for an answer in confusion.
- No. I haven't even heard of anyone knowing this.
He nodded and then began to think.
- Then you learn! And I know how to helpwith that! - he said with full enthusiasm and then opened the door and showed that I could go calmly. I looked at Seth, who nodded to me with a smile. I reached the railing in front of the door, grabbed it, closed my eyes and then sucked in the fresh air, it was so fresh and clean. I felt the force of the wind on the feathers of my wing so I spread it out to feel the environment. I opened my eyes and looked around, I saw a lot of unknown species, far at the foot of the trees I saw many creatures walking with children, animals, selling food, objects. They also came after me and then Seth spoke in a serious voice:
- I hope you're not just lounging there, you can come down. But please not conspicuously. There are no soarers here, everyone is flightless.
As long as he said this all the way I watched him, because of his seriousness, I understood his intentions, he didn't want me to be scared. I don't know what their specific problem is. - I nodded understandingly and then Seth's shoulder was held by Taiki, who was back to me.
- Don't stare at her, you fool! - he almost whispered, but I heard.
I smiled at that and looked at Seth. I only saw his reddish face and he immediately turned away and they started go again.
I left for a few minutes, everything was beautiful. I really did like the creatures to build their houses so that they wouldn't stand out from the trees. It was possible to get down with wooden bridges, the trees were connected by a bridge. As I went downstairs I noticed that the gaze of a couple of creatures was stuck on me. I was a little embarrassed by this, Seth was right, I was striking even during my walk. Now, the repulsive thing that Taiki said would come in handy. In the crowd I saw Taiki's tall and wide shoulders, I headed in their direction. Seth turned to it.
- I'm glad you got here finally. I haven't seen anything like this before, especially such big wings have not been admired yet. - he said as he stroked his right hand over my left wing. Maybe he could have forgotten it, but I also feel it, so when he remembered it he pulled his hand back. Taiki didn't even notice I was still there after it, but he turned to Steh to say something, but he suddenly noticed me too, so his voice stopped.
- Seth can I sh ... Oh Zindlora, you're here. Then the plan changed. Let's go to the tailor, please follow me.
We left, but only two of us. It didn't even show up for a while, only when Taiki started talking about Seth.
- He must have said that there is no human here, but you must have remembered what he was doing here, since he looks the same as them. He's also a magic creature, but I'm not going to tell you which species. Ask him. - he said as we progressed among the many creature.
- Tell me what he's like, please. Why am I so important to him? - I myself was surprised to ask this, but he paused for a moment and started walking again.
- I can tell some things about it him... - he continued after a pause - but I don't know why you're important to him. I know I haven't seen him like this before. Yet you can believe I have seen him in so many situations.
I think he knows the reason, but he doesn't want to tell. I confess Seth really doesn't behave the way others do to me.
We got to a house, there were clothes for different races. It was all beautiful, one of them caught my eyes, I went closer to feel its material. I don't know that either, strong material, but it also easy to stretch. It was weird, the top was burgundy and the chest had black armor, but no glitter. The bottom consisted of two parts: an identical red pants and a shorter black chain skirt, with a belt on it with a gold-colored clasp. Taiki noticed that I was staring at the dress, then said,
- He can do this for you, tailored to you if you want.
I smiled then after Taiki opened the door I went inside. I didn't see the tailor anywhere, and then he came out from behind a blanket. He was a kid-sized creature, had red skin with big green eyes and big drooping ears, two smaller horns on his head, and wore a simple dress.
- Hi, I'm Kige, hello Taiki. I saw you liked my new cloth out there. If you want to try it.... - then he stared at my wings - Oh, you're a soarer? I haven't seen your race around here in a long time. - he wondered as he walked behind me and touched my wings.
- Seth brought him here, saved her.
- Then what kind of clothes do you want...?
- Zindlora.
- Zindlora, do you have any idea?
- I really like the one I saw outside. Can you make something like it for me?
-Kige can do it, Kige loves challenges - he said proudly with a swollen chest.
Taiki turned to me.
- I have a little thing to do now, if you don't mind.
I nodded and then went out.
A few hours later, I last tried on the almost finished dress, I love it. My wings are comfortable, the elastic material lets me move in it.
- It's just missing the armor now. A few minutes and it will be ready.
Shortly afterwards, he came out of the room again and handed over the clothes. It just occurred to me that I couldn't even buy it. I have nothing. Suddenly before I took over the clothes I started groping my pockets. Nothing.
- Oh .. don't worry dear, you don't have to pay for the first dress. - Kige said to my relief.
- Thank you very much, you don't even know how happy I am for your kindness. - With that, I took over the dress and went behind the curtain. That strong material was perfect, stretched so it was easy to move in. I started halfway through the door when Kige told me I had left my previous dress. I quickly took it over as well and said goodbye to him. I'm in the open air again. They are fewer now than when I was first at the base of the trees. I walked through the square, a lot of gazes sticking to me, but somehow I quickly got used to what I heard. They don't often see my race. Although I don't know why. I started going up to Seth's house and when I got there someone was standing in front of the house and with Seth, I noticed them in time so I could stand. Involuntarily, but I was wondering what they were talking about.
- Seth, I can't believe you're still not letting me in. You know how I feel about you, why can't we go in? There I could show you how I feel. - the voice was familiar, the same who was here when I woke up. - Gods, why do you do this? I cannot believe. If you let me in, you wouldn't regret that.
We complimented each other, blushed each other, many times out of nowhere, I let him in bed next to me, reassured him when he dreamed of me. I noticed Seth's voice.
- Freho, I won't let you. I know very well how you feel, but it doesn't affect me anymore, My heart is different and you know it. Leave me, find someone better. - I heard the woman's indignant footsteps leave.
I waited a few minutes to keep Seth from noticing. I left, but stopped at the door because I heard Seth mutter something.
- I can't believe that this woman still bothering me at this time either. I remember the dream I saw with the message of the Gods, I know it. - He heard me and opened the door. He marveled at my dress and then let me in. He went to the kitchen and leaned against the counter. I sat down on the chair and put her dress on the bed that had been on me so far.
- You look really good ... um ... I mean, your dress looks good ... your dress is good. he mumbled, searching for the words to put them together well.
I chuckled in embarrassment.
- Thanks, Kige did it. I liked the previous choice you made. he smiled, and so did I. Its presence is so reassuring to me.
I remembered what he was murmuring then before I knocked, and also what Taiki said to ask him about his race.
- Can I ask you something? I hope I didn't hurt him or anything like that.
- Yes, calm down. he replied suspiciously
"Before you think I'm listening or something." No. That's where I came in and heard your angry voice, I'm careful since people took my father away. May I ask what you were talking about? What did you dream about?
He raised his eyebrows, then closed his eyes and put his hands on his face.
- I understand your curiosity. I'll tell you first what happened then. I was a member of a ... team 2 years ago and we were looking for people to see what the empire was up to. We walked into a trap one night. They caught a part of the team who resisted and died. I was imprisoned, it was reassuring at first, I knew what my fate would be. It didn't happen that way. A couple of weeks later, a group of soldiers and a woman dressed in fancy clothes came in front of my cell and they pulled me out. They knocked him out and took him somewhere. When I regained consciousness, all I saw was experimenting on me. The woman walked over to me and said it was in the best interests of the empire. With these experiments, they will neutralize my feelings, I will not feel any pain. At first I just assessed the pain threshold. Then I ended up in the cell again. For the first time in my life, I prayed to the Gods for days, I dreamed the last night. About you, when you played with your mom in the creek not far from your house, you were 17. When I woke up, I decided to get out at all costs. I'm a shape changer, I was the wolf in the small town, I was the one whose gaze you've always felt from somewhere ever since. Then in prison I transformed into a wolf and ran into the door of the cage, when I broke out I got the scar on my face. The door slammed it. Before I got out, I mingled with the main gate and there stood the woman with a couple of soldiers on her side. I killed them all and ran until I got to your farm. I have been watching and guarding you ever since.
