It explained everything, always and I felt like someone was watching and there somewhere. This thought reassured him that it was him and took care of me. It was weird somewhere, I didn't know why he believed in the Gods. Back then, people were under power, down in the Highlands. No one has seen them yet, but their power is everywhere, you can feel it in nature.
Suddenly someone knocked, it jerked back to reality from my thoughts.
- Are you Seth in there? It would be a little trouble in the north.
Seth raised his head after staring at me for a long time, I hadn't noticed until now. Halfway through the door, he opened it. He was an armed creature, glanced at Seth and then noticed me too.
- I have to tell you face to face, instruction, from the sage.
- Tell me here, I trust him. Then the wise will understand. he said as they both looked at me and Seth nodded at me.
I have no idea who is wise, but I wondered. What kind of creature can it be? My first tip was a krux, as they are able to notice the signs of the Gods and pass them on to the people. There is a krux next to many mayors. The blood of the ancients flows in their veins. It has now become a legend, people did not do what the mediators said, so they wrote them, they barely left in the world. After that, people began to spread, occupying cities inhabited by the most important magical creatures. Slowly they were everywhere and their Southern company, their king, killed without a word who disobeyed him. If he were not a cruel tyrant, he would be a good ruler.
The armed soldier came in and sighed.
- The sage wants to send you and the team north, people show up in the area, but their leader is different, stronger and resists the power of the sage. You were right, they were getting ready for something. Seth was surprised and sank to the bed. He looked at me and smiled.
- Tell Taiki to have the team ready in 2 days. There will be a rite in the evening before it, for protection.
- All right, I'm leaving. said the soldier, then went out and closed the door.
Seth looked at me. I asked in confusion:
- Can I go? Sure, I can't fight, but I have some basic skills already. I was still learning on the farm with my friends.
- I'm not forcing you to stay or come, you're not in captivity. It's your responsibility, but I want you to come.
I know it can be dangerous, but that's how you're near me and that's how I can protect you better than if you were on the other side of the continent. Especially that they are getting ready for something. I felt my face flush. I couldn't help but believe I was so important to him. He was right, and I wished I could go with him. My mom is too far away to reach the war. And on the farm we grow food for them, they just don't want to harm themselves. Although people are often stupid for such things, there has always been a wise man beside them.
Seth could see me blushing, all he could do was hide a tiny smile. I nodded in agreement. I gathered my courage, then got up and went to him. I looked into his eyes and then hugged his waist. I was surprised. I was barely lower than him, my ears reaching to my shoulders. I touched my right ear to his chest, hearing his accelerated heartbeat. He also hugged me and then I said:
- Thank you for what you've done so far. I'm grateful I can go with you. He let go of my face and looked deep into my eyes.
- Don't thank me yet, we don't know what's waiting for us there. That's why Taiki and I are preparing. I did not understand what you mean during preparation, you can fight to teach you, it may come in handy even later.
- All right, I have no idea what's waiting for me, but I'm ready. I think so. - I'm a little scared in advance of what they're planning.
- Come on, we're going to the hall. he grabbed my hand and began to pull.
- But it's almost tonight. I hesitated.
- It's okay, it won't show if it's dark or not. I frowned, then let him drive. After a while he let go and then took an urgent step up the opposite tree, crossing a bridge when he spoke:
- We're going to Taiki now, he'll help, like I said.
We got there, I was a little behind and admired the sight as I looked down. Most of the space and the trees where they lived were lit up. It was unbelievable. I heard a few footsteps approaching me. It was two children. One was a green-skinned deer creature and the other was an albino, but they were the same
- Tell me who you are? What's your name? the boy asked.
- My name is Zindlora and I'm a soarer.
- Can you fly? What it feels like? Why can't I fly? she asked incomprehensibly.
- Well, I can fly. It's a fantastic feeling, in the air I feel like I'm the freest there, I feel all the breezes, sometimes they are tickles too. I stopped my sentence with a little chuckle. Then they laughed too. We're other species, there are few soaring unfortunately. But I'm glad I am. Each species has its own ability, you certainly have it.
- Oh yes, we can hide, no one can see us except our kind. - she said excitedly as she spread her arms and suddenly disappeared.
He was surprised by his disappearance, but somehow he didn't disappear that much. Somehow I felt where he was, I don't know how and why. He reappeared and said:
- Our mom must be looking for us. Hi Zindlora.
- Hi, take care of each other. I motioned for them to leave.
They didn't even notice, but they almost went to Seth and Taiki as they approached me.
- I see they're busy, - Taiki began - I hope we can leave.
- Yes. They were just wondering what it was like to fly.
- Cute. Follow us. Seth said.
We went down from the tree and walked through the square. We reached an underground entrance that was at the foot of a tree. Two soldiers stood at the entrance. Seth and Taiki were greeted and the lattice door opened. We went down under one of the trees and arrived in a large open space. Taiki gave me a sword and from then on we practiced almost all night. I moved easily with my wings, but that wasn't enough. Seth was too fast, my blow to Taiki wasn't too strong. Sure, it didn't go bloody, but I learned about my weaknesses and my strengths. As we walked back I heard the two of them talking, I got too tired to listen to them. So I just crawled after them. Suddenly Taiki stopped and I almost went to her. Seth patted her shoulder.
- Go ahead, but don't spoil it.
Meanwhile, Taiki set off where he looked and left us. I walked puzzled over to Seth.
- Where is he going now? Is that the only way to leave without a word?
- She's going to Hrugene. He's been there for a long time, so far he hasn't been able to tell him how he feels, but they both know. Hrugene is a shield carrier, Taiki also started fighting like that. You know, they're heavily armed.
- How cute. It's just like ... um ... others. - I almost uttered his name, but suddenly I stopped and hid my thoughts instead, then it occurred to me that I was doing it in vain because Seth understands such things. I don't even understand why I'm doing this. I could see in his expression how he felt. It's unbelievable why he's torturing me like that. He almost laughed.
We continued silently. We got into his house, I immediately sat down on the bed and just sat there. I heard a clatter after a while, picked up my head, and saw Seth doing something at the kitchen. He moved as mysteriously as if he was covering something. I was almost up when he could probably hear it and almost cried out.
- No! Stay there! ... Please. he said his last word in a calm voice.
After a while, he turned and held two glasses in his hand, set off halfway up the bed, and sat to his right. He held one as he touched the other almost to his mouth. To my surprise, it was the tea I made for him yesterday. I felt her body start to tingle, from her gesture and closeness. My fingers would fit at most between our shoulders.
- Thank you. I said as I felt my ears turn red. I don't know what that feeling is, but I really like it. I started drinking tea, it became very delicious. Maybe you can also smell what flavors were in it? I half drank the tea when I put it on the chair, which has been there by the bed ever since. I blinked a few times and then looked at him. His eyes almost shone in the darkness. We just looked at each other. He put his tea on the floor and turned his body toward me, not just his face. He raised his left hand and touched my face, I bowed my head a little, but I was still watching him. I smiled to myself and grabbed the palm that was on my face with my right hand. Now he also raised his left hand and reached for half of my neck. I leaned closer to him, and so did he. There was hardly any distance between us, I closed my eyes and waited for what he was doing. I could feel the closeness of his breathing, he was getting closer. I could feel his lips touching mine. Suddenly my whole body shivered, the cold running down my back and both wings. Those soft lips were preserved. I admired him, but he suddenly moved away. He took his hand off me and stood up.
- That's not right. I promised to keep this until you give me permission. I'm sorry, Zindlor. I'm sorry. He put his hands in front of his face and sat down on the other side of the house. I didn't know what to do. I got up and went to him. He had his back to me so I couldn't see his face. I crouched behind him and grabbed his shoulders.
- There's nothing wrong with Seth. You did not do anything wrong. Don't blame yourself, surely the Gods wanted it that way. he raised his head and said.
- You can't say that, the Gods wouldn't make me break my promise. The Gods are always right.
- Listen. Listen to me, you don't even pay attention to what I'm saying. He sat in silence for a moment, then turned and said in amazement:
- Are you really serious about that?
After a little hesitation, I replied:
- Yes, Seth, I don't know more seriously.
- Oh, Zindlora.
He took my hands and we stood up. She hugged tightly. We stood there for a few minutes. He let go and looked at half the bed.
- You must be exhausted. Let's sleep.
Seth took off her top and lay on the bed, lying on her back. I took off my armor too, Seth turned away, and then I took over my clothes for what else he had given. It smelled so good. I lay there too. Seth turned on his back and I lay on my left side looking at him. I could feel the wind rising and hissing through the windows. I pulled myself together, the dress I was wearing was a little swaying. I pulled over to Seth to warm myself up. He grinned and then put one arm around him. I put my head on his chest and hugged him with my right hand. That's how we fell asleep, I can't believe it.
