"Buongiorno capo," Leo says as I walk out of my room. I have my suit on and I just need some food.
"Buongiorno Leo," I say back to him. I'm a visible 5in taller than him. My hair is in a messy bun and my bangs frame my face. We walk downstairs and meet my Papa on the way. "Caio Papa," I say, he just nods.
We sit down and the maid gives us food. "Darling, you need to find a wife," Papa says.
"Why now?" I ask. Leo is minding his business but I know he's listening.
"The dance is almost here. Or you make a move on Luciano's girl, or I find a wife for you." He says. I nod in understanding. I'll ask her out today.
-----(I'm not writing the scene in Maria's POV so this is after she asked Rose out.)-----
"Ok, I'll see you then." She says.
I walk out of the bakery with the cakes and a stupid smirk on my face. She said yes. That was enough to make my heart do flip-flops in my chest.
I get in my car and drive to my office, You're probably wondering 'Maria, why do you need 3 cakes filled with alcohol?' There's a party, my dad is turning 50 today, so we bought his favourite, liquor cake. I park my car in the lot and walk out with the cakes. I lock the car and walk into the building.
"Capo." a guard says. I nod to him and walk straight to the fridge. I stick a note that says 'not to eat belongs to Capo Maria' and walk to the elevator. From the outside, this is a simple company, but here we sell drugs and weapons.
I step out of the elevator on the top floor and walk to sit in my chair. As I open my computer I can already see a lot of stuff that went wrong with the delivery yesterday. The phone rings and I answer it immediately.
"What the hell happened Maria?" Luca yells at me.
"I don't know Luca. But something." I say and tap on the CCTV. I see Andrew putting all of the boxes into the van and then, Marcus comes into view. He helps Andrew load everything. "Andrew and Marcus loaded it up..." I start.
"Go an hour before they started," Luca says. He's lucky he's my uncle... I do as he says and goes an hour back on the tape. Slowly Aria comes into view and sticks a knife into the front and back left wheels.
"Cazzo! Fottuto inferno!" I yell out in anger. (Fuck! Fucking hell!)
"What is it?" Luca asks.
"Aria stabbed the wheels. I'll take care of her." I say into the phone and hang up. I call up Leo and he answers immediately.
"Sì, capo?" He says calmly. (Yes, boss?)
"Leo, Aria sabotaged the delivery. Take care of it." I say roughly and hang up the phone. "Ari?" I call out to my assistant.
"Yes, Ms Moretti?" The petite girl walks into my office. She doesn't know shit about the mafia ao she doesn't call me boss she calls me 'Ms Moretti'.
"Could you please call Aria up here darling," I tell her? She nods and walks out of the office. 5 Minutes after that Aria walk into my office. "Sit," I say simply. All emotions are evident in my voice. She does, she looks scared as she should be.
"Y-you called me C-capo?" She asks in a shaking voice.
"Yes. I did." I start. "Could you tell me why you sabotaged the delivery?" I ask her. She looked somewhat relieved that I'm calm. Good, she's taking her guard down.
"Umm, y-you won't believe me, Capo..." She says looking down.
"You better tell me Aria, or I won't be as nice," I tell her this time letting some anger flood my expression.
"I-it was Lawrence. S-she told me too! My kid was in danger I had to!!" She says crying her eyes out on my desk. Her kid? Oh yeah... She has a kid...
"Hmm, I see," I say dryly. "We will not hurt you, but you will need to make that shipment yourself. And it's taken out of your payment." I state simply. I don't want to kill or hurt anyone before I'm going on a date with Rose.
Which reminds me... "Go. We're done here." I say. She nods and runs out of my office. I open my phone and see a text from Rose.
'Hey, this is Rose. I wanted to know, when is the date?' - Rose.
'Hello Principessa, the date will be at 7 pm. I'll pick you up from your house.' - Me
Her reply comes immediately.
'Ok, Maria. See you then.' - Rose
