you were waiting by the snack stand for your date. this was your first time going out with this soc and you were nervous, tapping your foot quickly on the gravel below you.
"hiya!" a voice says next to you, "you here alone or are you waitin' for someone?" the voice says. you turn your head to reveal a gorgeous boy with movie star looks talking to you. he was wearing a shirt from that gas station on the east side.
"yes, i'm waiting for my date. now please leave me alone." you say in a sharp tone.
"alrighty ma'am!" the boy says in an excited yet obviously joking tone, "i'll see ya later!" he yells as his friend drags him off with a "soda, you'll scare her away!"
*twenty minutes later*
you're sitting on a bench next to the bathrooms sulking because your date never showed. you were about to get up and leave when you felt someone sit next to you.
"ya know," he begins, "we never did get properly introduced." he sticks out his hand to you, "i'm soda, sodapop curtis, no pretty girl like you shouldn't be sittin' alone," he pulls you up from your seat, "c'mon, let's go."
