𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒 • Five, liked to think that Will and Mavis were his first loves, he also liked to think that they would be his last. He'd never once in his life before being trapped in the apocalypse, thought that he would fall in love. Not that he really ever cared. He wasn't like Luther, and Allison who would sneak tiny glances at each other from across rooms or at the dinner table. Of course it was obvious to everyone other than them how they felt about one another, it was just that no one cared enough to say anything. Five never saw any point in romance, and maybe it was because understanding love was something you could only really do when you are in it. He was never around any actual relationships to know any of it anyway. And so he was perfectly fine, with it being just him for the rest of his life. But of course, the universe is a cruel being. And that being, in all its cruelty, decided to give him the thing he didn't need. Love. But not like most kinds where it's for one person, no he fell for two. But to him, those were the two most beautiful, lively, chaotic and powerful people he'd ever met. And so, despite his mission of getting back to his siblings to stop the ever impending doom of them and the planet, this is how Five Hargreaves came to understand, the feeling of wanting to kill the persons responsible if ever, any harm came to the two. This is how he came to understand love. :
𝐿𝑜𝓃𝑒𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑒𝓈𝓈 • When five met Will, the first thing he noticed despot the destruction that surrounded him was his hands. The way he nervously fiddled with them as he attended to speak. This, to Five, told him what one could assume by sending a passing glance to the boy. This told him that he was weak, frail, and fragile. He let his emotion show to a random stranger in the middle of a place surrounded by rubble and bodies. And he hated it. He had grown up being told that he and his siblings would save the world, that they were to never falter to their emotions. Which in all honesty, no one listened to. Except him. It was easy. And when he saw this boy so vulnerable before him he had almost immediately scoffed in annoyance. But he couldn't just shrug the boy off. Although he was weak, he was also all he had. The only company he would get in this hellhole. He was all he had.
