Day 7

Mele tribe

LIAN P.O.V

I'm sitting on the beach away from tribe because I can't even bear to look at them, Wes couldn't even meet my eye in the tribal council room and I'm not surprised why. Now I'm left on the bottom, I pitched an amazing idea, get rid of the physical threats + Mabel before the merge and then if we have numbers we'll cruise through.

But both Cressandra and Wes had to stick with their stupid alliance, that in my opinion will only make they're chances worse in the merge. Especially Cressandra.

And Dale is the only one left and he is useless. My game is pretty much over and this frustrates me immensely, I'm the smartest out here. Unfortunately I got stuck on a tribe with young idiots who are here more for a vacation than a game for a million dollars.

Time to go look for that idol again.

MABEL P.O.V

I was completely insulted by Lian and Alyssa last night, thank god one of the old hags is gone. It sounded to me as though they thought someone was flipping, and I need to get to the bottom of who it was.

At least I'm in a good spot in the game at the moment, with an idol in my pocket and the majority alliance. Yet if people view me as a threat, or as annoying I really need to change that. I'll make it to merge, then me an Benjamin can flip to the other tribe and get out whoever was thinking of voting me out.

First thing I need to do is make myself useful at camp, maybe if I can catch a fish I'll win some favour.

I walk over to the tree we've nicknamed grub tree and pull of some bark to reveal the most ugly creatures on this earth. There are about 20 white grubs flopping around and I take a deep breath in before grabbing a couple and putting them in a pocket in my bag. I then go deeper into the jungle to find some thin vines.

As I'm walking towards a vine I hear an inhuman squeal from up in the trees, looking up I see a small monkey staring down at me. A banana in its hand it scurries away when our eyes meet and I'm suddenly struck with and idea. I cut some vine and put t in my bag before following where the monkey went. It doesn't take long before I find a banana tree, something our tribe hasn't discovered yet.

The thought strikes me that maybe I've gone a bit to far into the jungle but I dismiss it before making my way up the 2 metre tree where bananas are in ample supply.

I drop as many as I can carry before I realise it's starting to get darker, it's probably time to be heading back.

I manage to drag about thirty bananas with me, leaving the rest for the monkeys to scavenge and head back the way I came. At least I think it's the way I came...

Wes P.O.V

The day was spent adding to our shelter, extending it to make it a little more liveable, despite loosing a person the nighttime is uncomfortably squishy and sleeping would be a lot easier without rolling onto the person next to me.

Cressandra and Lian cooked the food and tended to the fire all day, despite the awkwardness between the two. I need to keep my eye out for Cressandra, she's playing both sides and the further we get into the game we get, the more dangerous that is.

Benjamin and Jackson collected crabs, helped with the shelter and collected the cooking water. Dale collected drinking water, helped divide the food and slept. He seems to need a lot more sleep than he rest of us. Mabel on the other hand was up early which was unusual, and disappeared for the day. Probably looking for an immunity idol and avoiding doing any physical labour.

"Hey bro, have you seen Mabel, it's starting to get dark and I haven't seen her since this morning," Benjamin says coming up to me, a bucket full of crabs in his hands.

"Nah I was just thinking the same thing, maybe we should look for her," I suggest, mainly wanting to stop her looking for the idol.

"Yeah sure, I'll give this to Cressandra so maybe we can have crabs for dinner and I'll grab Dale and Jackson and we can all look for her," he says, genuinely concerned.

Mabel P.O.V

These bananas are heavy. And I'm lost. Fab.

Benjamin P.O.V

Jackson and I have been searching for Mabel in the jungle for about an hour now, and Dale and Wes have been searching down at the beach and the rock pools.

It's not like her to go do something without telling me, we're pretty tight I'd say she my closet friend and ally out here and I'm starting to get really worried about her.

If I can judge from the when the sun down it's about 8pm now, usually we're all so exhausted we are lounging around the camp, eating dinner and some people are even getting settled for the night.

"Mabel!" I yell out, and Jackson yells her name out immediately after me.

"Ben?" I hear faintly from somewhere in front of me, the moonlight pools through the trees in front of me and I see Mabel's form limping towards us.

She's dragging bananas behind her and her body is covered in dirt, her hair disheveled and her eyes filled with relief.

"Thank god," she says and hugs Jackson and I.

"I was trying to help the camp out and i got lost," she says her voice filled with embarrassment.

"As long as you're alright," I say concerned and she nods.

"A few cuts and bruises but I'll live," she says.

"I think we should call it a day," Jackson says and she cracks a smile.

"Good idea, I can't wait to have a good night sleep," she says and Jackson and I grab the bananas she was carrying and head back to camp.

Lian P.O.V

As we sit around the campfire and eat dinner I ponder over weather Mabel is faking it or not, she sits in the Shelter with a large Palm leave covering her as she eats her rice. The bananas she collected lay next to her in the sand.

Considering we haven't seen a single banana out here is 7 days gives credit to her story, she must've walked a pretty long way. But that is such an un-Mabel like think to do.

It does strike me hat she could have he idol sitting in her pocket now and the bananas were just a lucky find, but she seems genuinely freaked out and hasn't even lashed out at anyone since she got back. Maybe she realises after last vote, people are starting to hate her.

I need to look for that idol again tomorrow.

Dale P.O.V

I ate three of the bananas when everyone else went to sleep, I'm starving and I don't know how much more of this island I can take. Thank god Mabel is here is something I never thought I'd say, but going to sleep on a full belly does things to you.
