Danny Gonzalez: A Greglicious Romance

Danny could feel himself slowly entering a state of consciousness as he came around from a long night of sleep.  

Something felt off, however. His alarm hadn't rung once.

Still with his eyes closed, he milled over the steps he took before going to bed the previous night. His pondering was cut short when he heard a light, rhythmic knock at his door.

"Come in," he said, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

Drew entered his bedroom, carrying something on a ceramic platter. Danny welcomed the appetizing smell it brought with him.

"What's that? No way you made me breakfast in bed!"

"How couldn't I? I've got to find a way to pay you back somehow," Drew remarked, bringing the tray closer so Danny could see its contents.

As he set it down onto his lap, the scent just about made Danny water at the mouth. Like an angel, Drew had prepared him all his morning favorites: A bowl filled to the brim with Magic Spoon chocolate cereal submerged in ice cold LimonCello La Croix- Guava fruit on the side- and, of course, a cup of Power Punch Bang to wash it all down.

Danny sat speechless for a moment, taking everything in front of him in. After a couple of seconds he grinned and enthusiastically thanked his altruistic friend for such a generosity. He still couldn't believe how much kindness Drew was showing him.

"What? You need some more La Croix with that?" Drew mocked, a wide smile spreading across his face. "Dig in already!"

"Where'd you even find the cereal, anyway? I thought I was all out downstairs," Danny inquired with a mouth full of chocolatey goodness.

Drew chuckled and relaxedly placed both of his hands on his hips, obviously proud to have made his pals' day. "I found it on an Instagram ad!" He chimed eagerly, "Those things always know exactly what I need- and I guess, what you need, too."

"Anyway," he regained his usual composition. "I'll let you enjoy," he turned to leave the room.

 "Hope I didn't wake you."
