It was the seventh and last training day when I was officially named. Queen Vera invited all of the Seasonals and their children. It seemed like a simple task, I only had to declare what my name would be and then have a small party. That morning Summer came into my room to help with my dress. I didn't understand why I had to wear a fancy dress, considering all I was doing was talking to these people. But, whatevs, tradition, right? My dress was a light green dress that turned pink at the bottom, it was drop-waisted and had a scarf hem around my knees.
"All zipped up!" Summer said
"Thanks. How do I look?"
"Way better than I did when I named myself. Jeez, I was sooo uncreative at that time! I mean, name the Princess of Summer Summer. I just hope your name is nice."
"I really hope it's fitting."
She led me down the stairs and into a ballroom, one of many in the summertime palace.
"Don't be nervous, just talk to them like you would to me." Summer whispered to me
I stepped up to the podium.
"Welcome, Seasonals, to my naming. I have decided upon a name that truly fits a Seasonal of springtime. My name shall be Lillie Rose Chrysanthemum. I have decided and nothing shall change it. Join me in the ballroom next to this for food and drink."
We began our walk to the room next to it. Apparently Queen Vera had decided that we sit in chronological order, starting with winter. The adults sat at one table, beginning with King Rodrick, Queen Vera, then King Leif. On the kids table, Prince Jesse and Summer sat next to me with Prince Spencer across from me. The adult began talking, but the kids table was being kind of awkward.
"So...umm... congratulations on the name, Princess Lillie." Prince Spencer, autumn prince, said to me.
"Oh! I forgot to tell you, but since you're starting school tomorrow, you need a cover-story and a fake name." Summer said
"Why?" I asked
"Well it's not like your going to walk up to someone and say 'I am Princess Lillie Rose Chrysanthemum, the princess of springtime, who are you?' Right?"
"Ya, I guess so."
"What the guys and I have decided on is that we are all from the same foster family. What are you thinking of for your first name? Besides, Lillie is your royal name, and we only get called that at the palaces and when we are talking to each other."
"Okay, well maybe Lila, or Bloom, or-"
"No! None of those! It would be far to obvious if someone were looking for you. Try something different, my school name is Sammi, and Jesse is Derek and Spencer is Dominic."
"Okay, what about....Tessa?"
"Beautiful, Tessie." Summer said
"So what's our last name?"
"Seasons. I know it's not very creative, but when you talk about stuff from the Seasonal meetings in public, people can just assume you were talking about your latest family reunion." Summer said
"Well, that makes sense." I said.
We ate the rest of dinner in silence, and the guys-Jesse and Spencer- talked about who's sport was best.
"Hockey is a great sport!" Jesse said
"Ya, but is it as well known as football?" Spencer said
"This is pathetic." Summer whispered
"Ya, everyone knows that swimming is the best." I whispered back. In the past week I figured out that Summer was a big fan of swimming, and when I saw some of the humans swimming online, I liked it too.
The night grew old and everyone started getting tired.
"I'm so >yawn< tired." Spencer said. We all agreed with him, it was past midnight.
"I'm gonna go to bed." Summer declared
"Me too." I said
"Okay, I'll just leaf then." Spencer said
"Was that supposed to be a joke?" Jesse asked
"Ya."
"Well it was pretty pathetic."
"I know." Spencer said and then disappeared
"I guess that's my cue. Good night, ladies." Jesse said, but his look was very transparent when I looked at him. I could almost hear: Nothing is good about good night when I have to leave my....
He turned away and disappeared. His thought kept me up all night, unless it was from being nervous about school tomorrow.

I'm not sure if I should continue....please leave some comments, if I don't get any I'll understand that that silence from you is a 'no you should not write this anymore.' Even a 'good job, keep writing' is appreciated. I also love critism, just leaf some comments, thanks
