"So, how's your day been thus far?" Kenz asked me, after school.

"Pretty okay..." I said. I had been avoiding the boys for nearly a week now.

"Oh, really? It looks to me as though you have something on your mind."

"It's....really complicated." I said, although I was practically sisters with Kenz now, I didn't know whether or not to trust her with this.

"No worries, I can keep up." She said. The last time I had refreshed the Earth with Springtime was last Wednesday, after I had come home from Kenz's home for the 3rd time that week.

"Can we not talk about this?" I asked her

"Fine. So how about this weather, eh?" She asked, little did she know, we were still on that topic.

"N-not the weather, please."

"What does the weather have to do with this?" She asked

"Everything!"

"Tell. Me. Everything." She demanded, in a scary soft voice.

"Let's walk, okay?" I said. She nodded and we began walking into the woods that led to her house.

"It all started with my mother. I met her once. It was last month. Right before she died, she gave birth to me." I said, I looked at her face.

"How's that possible?"

"It's not. I'm a Seasonal."

"So? What does your last name have to do with anything?"

"Watch." I said. I imagined the flower that she drew on the paper the first day we talked, and I made it grow from beneath the snow to nearly her eye level.

"It's not just a last name." I said

"I get it now. That's why spring has been so late this year, there hasn't been anyone to train you, I'm so sorry."

"Hang on." I said. I began conducting in 6/8 and then some of the snow melted and all of this region was definitely on its way to spring.

"Amazing." She said

"Meh, I try."

"Okay, so is there anything else I need to know?" She asked

"Well, I'm-uh- getting married before summer's here." I said

"What? Do you have anyone planning it yet?" She asked

"No..."

"I'll do it! Wait, who are you marrying?"

"...Spencer." I said

"Who?" She asked

"Oh, sorry, Dominic's real name is Spencer." I said

"Oh. My. Cupcake. You're marrying Dom-I mean, Spencer? Is he a Seasonal too?"

"Yup, the Autumn Prince."

"But what about Derek?" She asked

"Who? Oh, you mean Jesse. Derek's real name is Jesse. He's the Winter Prince....and he says he's my soulmate."

"Wow, this is getting interesting, go on!" She said

"And I'm pretty sure I might be in love with Jace."

"The guy you sat with at lunch? Tell me how this all is gonna end!"

"I would if I knew, but I don't."

"Oh, dang it, we're here. Text me later!" She said

"Okay." Wow, that was easier than I expected. I thought

"Lillie." Someone behind me said.

"Boy." I said to him.

"Why are you avoiding me?" He asked

"Because I'm so confused! It's nothing against you, it's just that now I have pressure on me to do stuff that I don't want to do."

"I understand. I'll stay away until you make your choice." He said.

"Really? Because that seems a little too easy." I said.

"I know, but I'm going to respect you and let you choose without me interfering, because if I did interfere, I might think that I swayed your descision."

"Thank you so much, Boy." I said. I hugged him and he hugged me back. I let go. He was still holding on.

"Alright, I quit hugging, and you are continuing for what reason?"

"Oh, sorry. It just felt good."

"Oh, well then." I said.

"Talk to you later?" He asked

"Maybe." He turned around and left. I could feel my heart breaking inside. Suddenly, I turned cold.

I turned around, and saw Jesse. He looked good in all black.

"What is it?" I asked him. He moved closer and....

.......He took me by the waist and put me over his shoulder like a sack of potatos. He held up a cloth to my face. I breathed in the sickly sweet scent and melted into the darkness surrounding me.
