First lessons passed without any other sightings from Onyx. That as until I was alone.
A large shadow fell over me as I was picking up my books for my class after lunch, it was the shadow of twins. Both ginger haired and both looking straight at me.
??: I don't know who you think you are Syril Lakes but you better stay away from Onyx, if you know what's good for you. Ain't that right Ashley.
Ashley: heh, you heard him! Stay away.
They strode off without another word leaving me confused and dazed. I quickly grabbed the sleeve of the older boy, only to regret it.
A sharp punch landed on my jaw, crimson leaking from my lips as I coughed. It was unnatural, I hadn't done a thing to these guys!
Me: hey what gives!
??: you're about to find out.
He raised he fist again and I flinched, until I heard him. His voice rough and demanding.
Timber: Ashley?! Yeah this ain't happening boy. Katrian put your fist down, you're all bark and no bite.
Katrian: wanna bet?
Timber: actually yeah, I've got £20 on you're a complete coward. Run along kitten, leave mr here to us.
Ashley stepped in with a smirk from Timber as Simon inspected my jaw. It looked worse than it felt for definite.
Ashley: leave it Katrian, they've had enough.
Katrian: don't say you pity them brother!!
Ashley: no, but we've almost missed lunch and I'm starved.
Katrian groaned as he lead his brother by the arm to go get food. I turned to Timber, needing answers.
Me: what was that about?
Timber: Syril, there's a lot you don't know about me. Those two fir instance, it's a long story.
Simon: care to share?
Timber: yeah, over lunch. Let's go.
I shrugged and followed my two companions as Timber exposed Secrets I never thought to imagine.
