A simple girl with ordinary dreams
Of life, love and little things
Stared at stars every night
Her eyes gleamed, face shined
Stars shyly sparkled
Glittering the whole sky
Her face became brighter
Looking at the sky so high
Wonders of god, pearls so bright
Giving hope, giving light
She desired to touch them
Love them, feel them
Little dreams of love
Sweet essence to feel
But the pearls said no
Disagreed to come near
They had fear, they loved life
Full of colours, full of smiles
The girl felt rejected, demented
Lonely, devastated and crushed
Then from a velvety window
Moon slowly showed up
Dressed in silver, shimmering smile
Made the girl forget her fears
The tears vanished, a smile bloomed
Similar to a flower in spring's lap
Spreading sweet fragrance many miles
The moon so true, so pure
Selfless, caring and angelic
Filled her way with perfect pearls
Brought light, brought dreams
Dreams of happiness, purity
Truthfulness and sincerity danced
As the girl lightly looked up
Her eyes shone, clear like diamonds
Beautiful like rainbow, divine, complete
They talked and talked till
The sun wanted to push
And rise and shine...
But there were days
When nights were quiet
The sky very dark, no light
The girl stared at the lonely sky
Waiting for the wondrous moon
So that flowers could bloom
Sweetness could spread her wings
And fly with pure passion...
Author's note: I found it hidden in my drafts section. I wrote it in January, one night after having a good English class in university. Our teacher had taught us 'The nightingale and the rose' and 'The happy prince' by Oscar Wilde which resulted in a good amount of inspiration injection for me. This is really special. I hope you guys will like this. :)
