At the front door is Kevin, Anthony, and May. "What are you guys doing here?" I ask. "We heard your parents were at Pria's house so we decided to come over." May says. I smile. "We also brought gifts." Anthony says. He steps forward to reveal a box that can only be from one place.
We sit and watch TV for the next few hours. We watch all sorts of shows from different streaming services.
We eventually relocate to my room where we chat and goof around before we start to get tired. Rather than go home we decide to spend the night at my place. Kevin stays in my bed while Anthony and May sleep on the floor, using stuffed animals as mattresses. May found a way to make it work.
I fall asleep nice and calmly knowing Kevin is next to me. I feel the heat of his body close to mine. We are all too tired to try to figure out pajama situations so we just sleep in our clothes.
The night just comes to a nice end with my friends all in one place. We are friends for a reason. And this is it.
I wait until I know May and Anthony are asleep and then whisper to Kevin, "I love you. Good night." Kevin is falling asleep but still repeats what I say. I lean forward in bed to kiss him. He pushes into my mouth and puts his arm around me. I move in closer to him and fall asleep with my back against his chest and his arms wrapped around me.
