CHAPTER FOUR
so sick of them coming at me again▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
𝐓he recent things that happened back at the university went past Chaewon's head until she got home to the apartment she shared with Eun. She had to take a breather and a large swig of her favorite Cola to ease the tension in her chest. It was like she had a truck dumped a mountain of dirt on her body and somehow that felt worse than being in a room with Chanwoo earlier that night.
Eun bombarding her with questions no matter how worried she was didn't help either. But of course, Chaewon explained that nothing happened. She was fine. Mirae was fine. Besides even if Do Kyung-seok wasn't there━Chaewon could've handled that creep just fine on her own. She didn't have a fifth-degree black belt in Judo for no reason.
Chaewon remembered falling asleep at two in the morning and waking up the next day entirely sluggish and annoyed out of her mind. Eun had left before her, leaving a note on her bedside table saying she had met up with her parents for the entrance ceremony of their university.
She sighed under her breath, quickly taking a shower and doing everything else to make herself look more presentable. Grabbing her favorite tote bag, she went for the door, finding her old silver Hyundai Pony sitting outside the apartment building in all her glory.
The university was more packed than usual when she arrived. She parked her sweet car somewhere safe and sound before she started her wrestle among the crowds. She found a few familiar faces here and there, some of them greeted her with kind smiles which she tried to return as best as she could.
There were a lot of families, most of them holding bouquets and roses for their daughters and sons, congratulating them for entering the school. There was a small twist in her chest when she remembered she couldn't have those.
Chaewon shook her head inwardly. She should be thankful for what she has now, and yet somewhere deep inside her, it was telling her that it wasn't enough.
Frankly, she didn't even want to attend the entrance ceremony in the first place. But her friends were stubborn, very much just like her, and they didn't want her left out sulking alone in her apartment while they all had fun.
"Chaewon!" Suddenly, she heard a very familiar voice that instantly put a disbelieving smile on her face. "There's my favorite sister! Couldn't you find in this big crowd, I think you've shrunk a little."
She scoffed, turning around to face the culprit. "I am your only sister, idiot, and I did not shrink."
"Now that's not a good way to greet your brother." Ahn Seungmin grinned brightly. He opened his arms for a hug, holding a bouquet of what looked like lavender. Her favorite flower. "Come here. Give me a hug. Don't be shy!"
"Shy my ass," Chaewon scoffed but she welcomed herself into his arms, the latter squeezing the life out of her. As they broke apart, Seungmin sheepishly handed her the nice lavender bouquet, the pleasant smell of the flower wafting in her nose. "Thanks."
Seungmin shrugged, tucking his hands in his pockets. "Saw them selling in the corner so I thought you might want them."
"Right." Chaewon rolled her eyes, knowing he was lying. He knew all of his baby sister's favorite stuff like the palm of his hand. "What are you even doing here?"
"It's the entrance ceremony, right?" he asked, the sister nodding in response. "Exactly. That's what I'm doing here, to entrance the ceremony."
