Hotheaded ~Prince Zuko~

~4~ We Found The Avatar! ...And He's A Literal Child.

(First person POV)

I wake up after a medium length nap, forgetting where I was for a second, then I remember that we supposedly found the avatars location.

"I should get ready.." I told myself.

When I was done I go to see Zuko, who is ready to leave the ship.

"Leaving so soon..?"

He looks back at me, surprise and a hint of guilt showing in his face "I didn't think you'd want to see me after.."

"after what? after you yelled at me? I-" I take a deep breath and sigh "Look. I'm sorry about earlier, and I was wondering if I could maybe step out to get the avatar with you..?" I try to ask in my softest voice, knowing he'll say yes anyways.

"Alright, that's fine." He simply told me, then he started to walk away.

I followed after him and we left the ship, there was a strange boy wearing blue near the opened entrance, but when I look around I realized everyone was quite odd, and they were all dressed in blue. I also realized that it was a very small town considering its a water tribe..

I hadn't realized I zoned out until I see a kid sledding towards us on a... penguin..?

'how odd..' I thought.

I decide to think back about the people.

'Their skin tone is darker then ours yet they live in the artic and we're from the fire nation where we get a lot of sun... now that doesn't make sense..'

My thoughts were interrupted by Zuko.

"You're the Airbender? you're the avatar!?" he shouts.

I look at the small, bald monk, my eyes widen from realization.

"Holy sh-" I start but Zuko rudely interrupts "I've spent years preparing, training, meditating. You're just a child."

"Well you're just a teenager." The Airbender points out.

That's when Zuko started to Firebend towards the avatar, causing him to block it with his staff, pushing the fire towards the innocent villagers, I was going to say something but the Avatar spoke before I could "If I go with you will you promise to leave everyone alone?"

Thankfully Zuko nodded, one of the water tribe girls yelled out "no, Aang, don't do this!"

The avatar, whose name I assume is Aang replied with "Don't worry Katara. It'll be okay."

'wow, he's quite calm for someone whos being captured..'

Aang says something else, then Zuko starts, "head a course to the fire nation." he turns and looks at me

"We're going home".

(Author here, i'm going to add on to this chapter later since it's so short, so don't worry, this isnt the end.)
