(Y/n) pov

I swam as hard as i could as i felt like i was being sucked in by a strong force, my surroundings became pitch black and it wasn't until I struggled for a couple of more minutes before i was able to break free. As i got out of the pitch blackness i instantly knew that I was in a different sea, how did i know?

Being the offspring of Poseidon is no joke, even im able to tell the difference between my home sea's and another places sea. I could also feel the presence of other creatures in the sea around me, they were big and they were all in different forms, none from my homeland. As i surfaced i could see an island in the far distance.

I swam towards it and dried my clothes along with my hair, being able to control water really came in handy most of the time. After i was done i walked around until i reached a small village. I decided to watch the people from afar to see how they interacted and how they talked, after watching them for a while i decided to head into the village. The people were nice and welcoming, i tried to blend in so i wouldn't attract peoples attention.

It wasnt long before i came upon a tavern, i was going to walk past it but i heard some glass shattering. As i peeked through the doors i saw the female bartender being surrounded by some rough looking men.
"What do you want? I already told you that i got no more booze."

She said in the calmest voice as she tried not to show how scared she was.
'I guess i cant leave this be'
I looked around and found a rag laying around, i wrapped it around to conceal my face and walked in, attracting the mens attention.
"Oi brat leave, unless you want to get hurt."

One of the men said in a menacing voice as he came up to block my path while he grinned. Before he could do anything else i had taken out my pocket knife and i cut his legs, i avoided his vital spots but the cuts still made him fall to the ground in pain.
"You little brat! Ill make you regret what you just did!"

3 men out of the remaining 5 came at me at once, but they were no match, in an instant they were lying in the ground next to each other. After the last 2 men saw the horror in front of them they started to back away, the 'leader' grabbed the woman and held his knife to her throat.
"If you dont stop there, ill cut her throat!"

He shouted as i could see him sweating, the other man nodded as he held out his knife.
"Its seems like some things remain the same, even in other worlds."
I whispered my words before taking out the men in a quick strike, as they feel to the ground the woman exhaled in relief as she turned to look at me.

"Thank you child, but that was dangerous you could of gotten hurt."
The lady said in a concerned voice.
"Its okay, ive been training for a while now. I can tell when people know how to handle a knife, and those men were but mere rookies. By the way, are you okay ma'am?"

I asked as the lady sat down in a chair.
"Yes thank you, by the way whats your name child? And where did you come from?"
She asked as i wasn't sure if telling her the truth would be helpful.
"My name is (y/n), and i come from a far away place."

I said as I hoped for her to not ask more questions, the lady just hummed as she didnt pressure me to give her more answers.
"Well its nice to meet you (y/n), you can call me Makino and im the bartender and owner of this bar. Would you like something to eat?"

She asked as my stomach answered with a growl, Makino just laughed as she went behind the counter and started to prepare something. While she did that i grabbed the men from the floor and threw them outside the tavern.

As i finished throwing out the last one a big old man walked up to me. He was huge as he towered over me,
"What are you doing kid?"
He asked as he looked at the pile of the 6 men I had just thrown.
"Throwing out trash."

The man looked at me for a second before bursting out in laughter.
"Haha oi Makino who's this child?"
The man asked as he entered the tavern with me following behind.
"Ah Thats (y/n), she saved me from those bandits."

Makino answered as she motioned for me to sit down and to eat, she had placed a plate of very delicious looking meat. I ate it as the old man and Makino continued talking.
"Are you on your way to visit your grandchildren Garp?"
Makino asked as she placed a glass of beer infront of the Old man.

"Yep i was on my way, until this little brat caught my attention."
He answered a he turned to look at me.
"By the way where are your family? Are you alone?"
The old man asked as i swallowed the food i had in my mouth.

"Hm yea i guess im alone for the time being, until i find a way to get back home."
I answered as i took another bite of the food.
"Then while you look for a way come with me, you can live with my grandchildren!"
The old man said in excitement, but although i could tell he didn't mean no harm i was always taught to never trust strangers.

'Does this man really mean it in a good way, or should i run away? I could always escape if it gets complicated, and i also dont have anywhere else to stay.'

As i thought about my pros and cons I decided to give it a shot and see where the old man would take me, if he turned out to be a creep i would run away. But if he meant no harm and i could have a place to stay for a while, then that would be for the best.

"Alright, but will it be alright for me to intrude like that?"
I asked as i finished eating my meal and handing the plate back to Makino.
"Haha man im liking you already, if only my grandchildren were as polite and mature as you!"
The old man continued to laugh, and i took that as my answer that it would be no problem at all.

After he finished drinking we left the tavern as i waved goodbye to Makino.
"By the way why are you still wearing that? Isnt it uncomfortable and stinky?"
He asked as he pointed at the rag that was still covering my face. At some point i had forgotten that i had it completely. I took it off as my (h/l) (h/c) fell down.

I threw the rag in a trash can that was beside the road. And after a while of walking we left the village and continued on the dirt path that led to the forest.
"Old man are you sure this is the correct way?"
I asked as i was confused as to why we were heading to the forest.

"Who are you calling old man, from now on call me gramps, and yes this is the correct way."
He said as he continued to walk with his hands in his pocket, on the other hand i was taken aback as I was not expecting that. The rest of the walk was kind of awkward for me as i was kind of shy to call him gramps, but it also didnt feel that bad to walk with someone.
