(Y/n) pov

'I haven't slept this good since i was a baby'
I thought as i stretched before leaving my room. Everyone was still sleeping as the sun was barely showing itself, i looked around before sighing mentally.

The sight in front of me was not wonderful, people were scattered around snoring along with empty cups and plates.
'I guess there's no other option than to clean'
I grabbed a bag and started to pick up garbage, i was also tippy toeing as to not wake anyone up. Once i was done picking up the garbage i started grabbing the plates and cups.

I took them all the the kitchen before washing them as quietly and gently as i could. Luckily no one woke up, probably from all the drinking they did form last night. Once i was done with the inside of the house i went outside, as i looked around i found an axe and a stack of wood that needed to be cut.
"I guess ill do that next"

I picked up the axe and started to chop some wood, i finished just before the sun had set and i heard some footsteps coming from the inside of the house.
"Be quite luffy and hurry up"
Ace whispered as he exited the house with luffy following not to far from him. I instinctively hid on the side of the house as I listened to them.

"Wait Ace how about our sis (y/n)? Shouldn't we invite her to come along?"
Luffy spoke as he stopped walking and looked at Ace.
"No, shes probably still sleeping and she wont be able to keep up with us so come one!"
Ace spoke as he ran into the forest, luffy looked back at the house before following Ace.

"Wait up for me Ace!"
Luffy shouted as they both disappeared into the forest. I stood there for a bit as another pair of footsteps could be heard, this time it was Gramps coming out of the house.
"Ill see you in a few days (y/n)"
Gramps said as i left my hiding spot.

"Okay, thank you for everything"
I said as gramps just smiled before walking down the dirt road and disappearing into the forest. Not long after gramps left everyone else started to get up, as Dandan woke up i went up to her.
"Dandan ill be going to the village that's down the mountain, ill come back before the sun sets."

Dandan looked around noticing how clean the house was before nodding.
"Alright, but don't be late and if something happens to you i wont take responsibility."
She said as i agreed and left the house, as i walked down the dirt path i also looked around. I found fruits here and there and ate some as I hadn't eaten anything.

Once i got closer to the foot of the mountain i was able to clearly see the small village from where i was, it was small but it gave me a sense of warmth and calmness.
"I hope they have a library"
I said as i continued on my way, once i reached the village i bumped into an old man.

"I'm sorry"
I said as i checked if I hadn't hurt him.
"Its alright young lad, im alright just watch out next time."
He said in a calm voice as he chuckled. He waved goodbye as he continued on his way, i looked around to see if their was any building that resembled a library.

Luckily i was able to find it after asking people around, as i entered a lady greeted me.
"Hello, and who might you be?"
She asked as she looked at me.
"Hello, im (y/n) and i just moved here. Is it alright if i take a look around?"

I asked as the lady nodded with a smile, i returned the smile as i entered and looked around. But i soon realized something horrible.
"I cant read the words from the books?!"
I muttered in utter shock as i looked at a book, i panicked slightly as i put the book back.
'What should i do?! If i cant read i cant find more about this place, and if i dont im doomed....okay (y/n) calm down lets be grateful that we talk in the same language as these people.'

I mentally cried as i left the library.
'Should i just ask someone to teach me? I can just say that i was never taught....yea maybe Makino could help me'
And with that i headed towards Makino's bar. It didnt take long for me to get there, as i entered i was met with the smell of both booze and food. People were laughing cheerfully as they drank and ate, as i walked up Makino spotted me.

"(Y/n)? Where did you come from? I thought garp had taken you." 
She said as i sat in an empty stool infornt of her.
"Yes he did, i came down to explore a bit more"
I smiled as she handed me a cup of juice.

"All by yourself?"
She asked kind of worried now.
"Yea, i came to ask for a favor if it isnt much of a burden."
I said as felt kind of embarrassed now.

"Of course, if you need anything im willing to help!"
She replied with a smile as she listened for my favor.
"Well you see...i cant, read...can you teach me the basics?"
I asked with a faint blush in my face as i tried to avoid eye contact.

"Haha is that it? Of course i can help you, it'll be my pleasure! When do you want to start?"
She asked with enthusiasm
"Can i come on the weekends? Ill come as early or as late, whatever hours work for you best!"
I said with a smile forming in my lips as i felt kind of excited now.

"Lets do it early so you wont head back home late"
And with that my reading class had been scheduled, afterwards Makino feed me as my stomach rumbled. Once i was done i waved goodbye as it was getting kind of late, as i walked past some shady people i overheard them talking.
"I heard that the Dandan Bandits live in the mountain have a nice house, if we raid them we can claim it as ours"

As i looked back at them i noticed that there was about 7 people all gathered, they were smoking and they all had weapons.
'So Dandan and the rest of her crew are bandits, i guess they do look the part, should i take care of them here?....ahh i bet Dandan and the rest can handle them, meanwhile i want to catch some food.'
I continued my path up the mountain and into the woods, as there was still some sunlight i went to hunt something. Luckily i was able to catch a good deer with a lot of meat.

As i picked it up i heard some gunshots, it came from the direction of Dandans house.
'I guess the 'raid' has started, i better hurry up to see the show.'
The closer i got to the house the clearer the voices became, it seemed like they were still fighting as clashing metal could be heard. Before i could reach the clearing a hand grabbed me by wrist and pulled me down, making me fall behind a bush.

"Hey-"
Before i could say anything else a hand went over my mouth, as i looked at the hands owner i was met with the freckled boy and the straw hat boy. They motioned for me to be quite as they looked at the fight that the bandits were having.
"Dandan told us to hide and not intervene since this is a bandits fight."
Ace said as his view was kept on Dandan and the bandits, luffy also kept his eyes on them with worry.

'I guess ill stay here for a bit, i hope the ants wont crawl on the deer.'
The fight kept going for a couple of minutes, Dandan and the rest seemed to be winning until the leader of the other bandits took out a gun and pointed it at Dandan.
"I was thinking on doing this the easy way, but it seems like you want it the hard way! Give us your territory before i shoot you!"
As the man threatened Dandan everyone stopped fighting, Ace and luffy also looked more worried and mortified by now.

'I guess ill have some punching bags for today as well'
Before i could get up Ace stood up quickly and dashed towards the Bandint, as he was ready to tackle him the bandit turned around and was ready to shoot him. But before he could take the bullet I sprinted infront of him and took it, luckily it missed the bones of my shoulder so it wasnt bad.
*sigh* "this is why Dandan wanted you guys to stay put"

I muttered as i grabbed the mans face and slammed it into the ground. As i turned to look at Ace his eyes showed both a stunned and concerned look.
"Anyone else wants to spar?"
I asked as the remaining bandits shook their heads and ran away.

"Why did you-"
Ace began to say before I cut him off
"Bullets are harmful to a child's body, you should take more precaution next time."

"But you are a child to!"
Ace exclaimed with an annoyed face as he scrunched his nose and furrowed his eyebrows.
"Yes, but I'm no human unlike you"
I whispered as Dogra and Magra walked up to us hurriedly.

"Oh no (y/n)! We need to take the bullet out and stitch that!! Come on"
They hurriedly guided me into the house and started to clean my wound.
