There are a few things I realize once I twist the knob open and the wave of zombies come rushing in.

One, zombies smell terrible.

Two, they're ugly as fuck (please don't let me look like them once I completely turn).

And three, I should definitely ask Wu-Jin his exercise routine because damn- I may be a hambie and a somewhat decent athlete but these zombies are bulldozing pass me like I'm nothing but a stick of toothpick.

As I lay on the floor contemplating my life choices, I hear Cheong-San yelling for me to jump over the barrier.

"Dae-Su is right, I am a useless hambie." I pout, pulling the zombies back one by one as I push my way towards the front of the crowd.

I see Su-Hyeok peering through the gap of stacked chairs, his eyes lighting up once he sees me throwing the zombies off.

"Tokki, for heaven's sake now is not the time to be dramatic." Cheong-San's voice rings loud and clear despite the growls from the undead.

"I am not being dramatic!"

"Okay fine, you aren't. Just jump over will you?"

I huff, pulling back the last zombie that is blocking my way by its collar. It hisses as it falls, and I use its body as a stepping stone to jump through the small gap Su-Hyeok is holding open for me.

I stumble slightly once my feet lands on the ground, but Su-Hyeok manages to steady me by holding onto my arm.

"You okay?" He asks, voice laced with worry.

"I'm worried about looking like those fuckers but other than that I'm just peachy." I force a smile, raising two thumbs up.

Su-Hyeok chuckles as he shakes his head. "You're impossible."

"Yah, Na-Ri, help me with these." On-Jo calls out, holding up a pair of cymbals and a tambourine. "We need to make as much noise as we can."

I grab the tambourine from her and start to angrily tap the flat surface, making the metal clank against each other in an annoying pitch.

Everything is so loud and a part of me just wants to hide somewhere quiet.

"There's still plenty of them." Wu-Jin peeks through the glass, gulping at the sight of the zombies running towards the front door in the speed of light. He manages to catch one of the chairs before it falls off. "We need to make more noise if we want to escape faster."

"Got it." Dae-Su closes his eyes, inhaling deeply before belting out loudly.

The tambourine slips from my hand as I quickly cover my ears.

"Tokki, are you alright?" Cheong-San looks back at me.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I tap my ears. "Dae-Su just caught me off guard."

I grab the tambourine from the floor.

"I think that's almost all of them." Hyo-Ryung says as she looks out the glass window.

"Let's get ready to run then." Nam-Ra places a hand on the door knob. Once the last wave of zombies arrive, she harshly turns the knob and pushes the back doors open. "Let's go!"

Ji-Min and Hyo-Ryung are the first ones out the door.

On-Jo grabs my wrist and pulls me out the door with her, but I pull back.

She looks at me questioningly. "Is something wrong?"

I shake my head. "You guys go ahead first, we still need to make as much noise as possible so they won't notice you leave."
