Some people hate funerals. I find them comforting. They hit the pause button on life and remind us that it has an end. Every eulogy reminds me to deepen my dash, that place on the tombstone between our birth and our death.

Live life to the fullest, that's what they say. Hangat may oras ka pa, kasi ang buhay natin ay hiram lang. Everything has its end, but I do believe that nothing ever truly dies. Its just that things are just transforming, yung mga kaluluwa natin ay lumilipat lang sa ibang bagay na may buhay.
Pero kung ikaw? Kung sakaling bigyan na ng taning ang buhay mo? Anong gagawin mo?
How are you going to live a life that already have its end?
Parang nagbasa ka ng libro at nalaman mo na agad yung ending. Paano mo gagawing masaya ang mga huling araw mo sa mundo? Anong gagawin mo sa mga taong maiiwan mo? At higit sa lahat, paano mo tatangaping habang lumilipas ang araw ay paunti na lang din ng paunti ang nalalabing oras mo?
Masakit. Sobrang mahirap tangapin.
The hardest word to say are, saying hello for the first time and saying goodbye for the last time.
