The story isn't over yet

Chapter Six: The party

Selena still hated that the theft case was left alone. She had a look at the different security footage multiple times but it was like no one when in. Just that the window magically broke and everything that was stolen flew out. She assumed that only Pippa would do this but there was no sight of her in the street cameras. It annoyed her to no end that she didn't know who it was. She even asked her friend, Felicity, about what was happening but she had no idea who could do it.

She then asked Selena if she would be going to Piro's party the next day just out of her own curiosity. Selena just looked at her with a look they both knew which meant 'Is that really a question?'. She answered no since she doesn't do parties after the last time. And that last time got her pregnant with Adam. Felicity assured Selena that what happened wouldn't happen again if Selena didn't drink. She wouldn't drink but people still have ways of drugging people. Either way, Selena said no and hung up on her friend. That's also when Maddie walked in.

"I'm not going to Piro's party," Selena said before Maddie could say anything.

"You didn't give me a chance to ask," Maddie said.

"Because that's all people have been asking. Piro hasn't done anything to convince me to go. And, even if I did, I'd have my guard up the whole time and I wouldn't have fun."

"Selena, you need a break. I know this thief has been all you think about but they won't appear again for a while. Just come to the party. It's the most you can do for your friend."

"Piro isn't a friend. She's an acquaintance. Besides, her family robbed me of childhood, my memories of my real family, and any kind of love. Acquaintance is the kindest thing I can call her."

"What about Felicity? She stayed with you for years."

Selena went silent, "No comment."

"So she isn't a friend?"

"Can we move on? All you need to know about Felicity and me is that we met at a ball, we became friends, and she's been my assistant when I need her. End of story."

The two stood in silence when Maddie spoke up again saying that Selena should go to the party anyway. It would mean a lot to Piro and it would get her out of her cave for a few hours. Knowing that Maddie would only bug her until she said yes, Selena said she'd go for an hour or so and then leave. Maddie was happy that she said yes and left Selena alone until tomorrow. When tomorrow did come, Selena didn't bother to get pretty or anything. She was just going as herself.

Maddie and Piro were dressed for a party at least. And Pippa finally arrived back but she never left her cabin for any reason. She was waiting for the perfect opportunity to crash the party. But Selena wouldn't show up until later that night where the party was outside in the town square with a band playing and random people singing whenever they wanted. Selena stayed off to the side just observing. Some who had gotten a little tipsy tried to ask her to dance or get her a drink but she would always refuse.

She set her own boundaries before she arrived which was no dancing with strangers or drinking with them. Maddie soon noticed Selena on the side and tried to include her in the dancing and fun but Selena wouldn't budge. Maddie still tried while Selena noticed some people in the crowd. Some that she doesn't remember seeing ever both around the island or during the party. She's observed everyone at this party but she hasn't seen these people.

Selena excused herself from Maddie and went to investigate. Maddie was confused and just went back to the party normally. Selena followed the strange people just to see who they were. The music changed during her chase making her stop. The music didn't sound right nor did it sound like something Piro would have playing.

She looked at the stage to see Pirates playing the instruments. Selena would excuse this as a surprise appearance if the pirates didn't look so real. Something was about to happen and Selena almost didn't want to find out. But she kept her guard up while everyone seemed oblivious to what was going on. Suddenly, a puff of smoke appeared and the silhouette of an angel appeared behind it. 

'I've been mistreated,' Pippa said revealing herself to the crowd, 'I've been abused.'

Piro, Maddie, and Selena looked over to see what had become of the Angel. If you can even call her that now.

'I've been trespassed and invaded,' Pippa flew offstage and landed in the middle of the crowd where Piro and Maddie were, 'And I am not amused! I've been insulted, disrespected, I've been mistreated! Now, where is Selena?"

"What do you want with-"

"Right here!" Selena interrupted Piro from where she was.

Selena used her jetpack to launch herself into the air, sword out. She tried to attack Pippa who turned to her and used her powers to freeze Selena in her place. A pair of Pirates came over and put Selena in a sack. Pippa turned back to Piro with a smirk while telling the pirates to take Selena away.

"What d you want from us?" Piro asked

"For you all to surrender to me. I will rule the world I helped to create!" Pippa said

"You'll never win nor will we surrender to you!"

"I give you one week to take that back. Or all of you people will pay! I've been insulted, disrespected, I've been mistreated!' 

Maddie had taken Selena's discarded sword and tried to attack Pippa but she stopped her just like she did with Selena. Pippa made Maddie drop to the ground and addressed the crowd again.

'I've been insulted, disrespected,' Pippa did a flip and started to fly away, 'I've been mistreated!'

And Pippa flew off and the Pirates left to follow her. This was not the kind of day the girl were expecting.
