My On-Going Life

The day has been rather slow and tiring in the college. Deciding not to attend the last lecture Asha return to the hostel. Today is marked the second month of being here in Pune away from her parents. She sigh quietly as she entered her, already knowing her roommate, Arni, won't return till later.

'Well... I can do something productive, but I have no energy.' She thought while putting down her bag on the ground.

She decided to call her mom to talk about the returning plans she made with her friend, Devu, who lives the same as hers. Asha smiled slightly at the thought, their bond has become strong in a short amount of time it makes her feel blessed to have such friends like her in college. Sure, Asha and Arni have their arguments with each other once in a while but they get sorted out in the end so she's not complaining. Well back to the main topic, the 2nd-semester exam will start at the starting of the May and there are only two theory exams that are on 10 and 13 May, then holidays from 14 May to 26 June. She honestly can't wait for the exams to be over so she can go back to Indore, to her family for a long and much-needed vacation. All the assignments and group assignments have worn her out physically, mentally, and emotionally and the break is needed after all this shit. Asha dialled her mom's number only to see she was busy on another call. She sighs and drops her on the bed and goes to freshen up. 15 minutes after she got the call from her mom, wiping her face with a towel in one hand, she pick up her phone with the other hand and receives the call and put it on speaker.

"Hello dear"

"Hey, Mom, who were you talking to before?"

"Ah, it was your grandmother (mom's mother)"

"Hm... I expected as much" I answered with a small smile

"So, what did you want to talk about? You said you'll tell me as soon as you'll get back"

Ah yes, my conversation with her was cut off because of an ongoing lecture in college, I was in the mid of explaining why we were coming back by train instead of bus or flight.

The rest of the conversation went blurry. I think we talked for an hour or 2. Asha sits back down with a heavy sigh, she has been sighing a lot lately. She turns on the music and starts humming along with the tune. An hour later she got another call, shutting down her laptop she pick up her phone and saw Devu was calling. She receives the call and put it on speaker.

"Hey, 'Sup"

"Hey, Asha! I was just looking for the tickets. Come to my room we'll discuss more it. We have to call and ask Priya also about her plans"

Asha chuckles a bit. Priya also lives in the same city as them and she actually went back for 3 - 4 days and most probably would come back on Monday in the morning. Asha hang up and get up to fix her hair before going out, she made sure to lock the door before going downstairs. She knock on the door as soon as reached Devu's room. Devu opens the door and lets Asha in. She noticed Devu's laptop on her bed which give her the idea that she has been looking for the tickets.

Asha sits down on the bed along with Disha who pulls her laptop closer.

"Call Priya and ask her. I'll tell my mom about our plans and ask her opinion"

I nod and called Priya while Devu called her mom. Few minutes after I hang up and look at Devu who started looking for a bus seat. I raise my eyebrows at her when she lookup.

"My dad said to take an extra seat on the bus to put our products, but come by bus since it'll be fast and convenient" seeing Asha nod in understanding she continued, "What did Priya say?"

"She'll have to ask her elder sister then she'll tell but she told me to book the ticket for 2 just in case. She'll do something about hers later."

They both let out a sigh at that. Devu shut off her laptop and stand up along with Asha. They both come out of the room and went to the dining hall to get some snacks with tea. After getting snacks and tea they both sit down on the chair and start discussing their plans. Soon they started to talk about normal stuff and ask each other about their assignments.

They both parted ways after the snacks since Asha was going out for a walk and getting some stuff for the assignment. After her walk, she bought the stuff she needed and also got some fruits along the way which were needed for the breakfast. Her stomach was having a hard time digesting the breakfast they are giving in the dining hall. She unlocks her room and got inside, after putting all her stuff in its place, she changed into more light and simple clothes before laying on the bed and putting on her AirPods to listen to music. And before she knew it, she fell asleep while listening to music.

It was around 8:30 at night when Asha felt Arni trying to wake her up, telling her to go and give her attendance and eat the dinner. She sits up and mutters a "thanks" to her before turning off the music and disconnecting the AirPods and putting the phone on charging. She washes her face and fixes her hair before going downstairs to give her attendance. After doing so, she went straight toward the dining hall. She saw very few people there. Of course, today's dinner is not very likeable so most of the students are ordering food online. Asha sighed 'same old...' She walked inside and got her dinner and went towards the quietest place to sit. Giving a small and polite smile whenever seeing the known people she ate in peace.

Getting into the lift she presses the floor where her room is and lets her mind wander. She's tired but not sleepy, she can continue her assignment on the business plan while sitting near the balcony. With that thought in her mind, she went back to her room to get her laptop, phone and AirPods and go towards the balcony.

She sits down on the ground, put her laptop on her lap, put on her AirPods and starts working on her business plan. 3 hours later she lean back and stretch a bit to take a small break and look at the buildings that have their lights on. It's a beautiful view, she continue to stare as she thought about her day today.
