My On-Going Life

Asha is happy.

No wait, that's an understatement.

She's beyond happy, relieved, and relaxed.

Why?

Well... Not only her exams are over but she's back home. She is basically in heaven. She continues to type in her laptop while listening to music. It's been more than a week since she got back she has been thoroughly enjoying her vacation. She still remembers the day she reached her hometown by bus, to her stop to be exact. If she were in anime she would've sweatdropped but she can only chuckle at the memory.

She got on the bus along with Priya and Devu in the evening, and it was supposed to reach Asha's stop between 7:30 - 8:00 the following day. The bus arrived a bit earlier, Devu and Priya passed the luggage to the conductor while Asha took care of the handbags and the organizers. They got on the bus and settled in their seats. They booked 4 seats, extra one was for their handbags and organizers. Devu and Priya were sitting just ahead of Asha, who was seated with extra luggage.

Asha talked with her mother on video call for a long time, she promised to keep her updated on the places the bus will stop and pass. According to Devu, the bus would stop for a meal only at 2 stoppages. One at the night for 20 minutes and the second early in the morning for 10 minutes. So Asha lay down comfortably since it was a sleeper bus. She ate the snacks she brought and drank her juice and busy herself with her phone since she wasn't sleepy and the bus won't stop until later so she had time.

Timeskip a few hours later (because I said so :3)

At some point, Devu came and sat beside me for a good chat since Priya fell asleep after taking her medicines since she has a motion sickness problem. It can't be helped. They both were watching a movie when they heard the conductor's announcement of the bus stopping at the near restaurant. Devu went to wake Priya up while Asha grab her phone and put on her shoes before standing up and getting down from the bus. Devu and Priya, who were rubbing her eyes, got out a few minutes later while Asha stretch her arms up, they both did the same, feeling relieved after doing so. They freshen up, Priya got ice cream for herself and goofed around while taking pictures. Soon everyone start getting back on the bus and they took it as their queue and got on the bus as well. Asha called her mom and updated her about her location and set up the alarm before putting it down and getting under the covers to get some sleep. 

It was around 3 a.m. Asha woke up, check the timing and sigh, she knew what will happen within the next few hours knowing her sleeping habits. She opens the map on her phone and checks her location then send it to her mother. After doing so she went to sleep again.

4 a.m. Asha has awoken again. Checking the time again, she groans. This is what she was talking about, if she woke up once in the morning hour, she'll keep waking up in the exact next hours. One of her habits she hates the most. She did the same as before and went back to sleep. 

And the next 2 hours repeated. She end up waking up 30 minutes before her alarm time, which was 5:30 a.m. She sighed, knowing she won't be going to sleep anytime soon, she cancel her alarm and check her location on the phone again. According to the given timing they should be near Indore. But... It wasn't the case, instead, the bus was still a bit far from Indore. 'Are you for real now? Because of the given timings, I didn't get a good night's sleep, but seeing this we'll enter the city around 8 and I'm not going to imagine at what time I'll reach my stop.' She call her mom and explained her location and her assumptions, she heard a few cusses to which she grunted, she didn't want to hear those in the early morning. She heard her asking dad about his assumption.

"Most probably you'll reach around 9 but I'm not sure because we don't know when the bus can slow down or pick up speed randomly," Dad explained.

Asha sighed and promised to update when the bus enter the zone of the city when she heard the conductor's announced that the bus is stopping again for 5 minutes. She end the call and got out of her seat to see Devu and Priya getting out as well. They all stretch their arms and freshen up and discuss the bus being late since it was already past 7 meaning the bus was running late. They were also pleasantly surprised when they coincidently met with their friend Palak who was also going to Indore, the difference was she took the bus 1 hour earlier than us, and it was surprising that her bus was also running late. They then heard the conductor of the bus call, they all bid goodbyes to Palak and got into the bus.

Asha got into her seat and decided to call her mom. They both talk for a long time and Asha close the curtains since the sunrays were irritating her. She lay down after putting her phone down. A few hours went by when she was startled awake by the conductor's announcement 'when the fuck did I fall asleep?' She did not even notice. She looks out of the window and immediately recognized that the bus had entered the zone of the city, the conductor was announcing the stoppages (more like asking who is going to get down on that particular spot). Asha immediately called her mother and told her the area the bus was in.

Priya got up with her bag and waited for her stoppage, since the second stoppage was of hers only, while Asha came forward to sit with Devu. They all goofed around, more like teased Priya again and again over random stuff before her stop arrived. They bid their goodbyes as she got off the bus then Asha waited for her to stop while she shifted all the extra luggage where Devu was sitting.

But of course, something HAS to happen before that. God tests our patience even during this time. Seriously?

The bus stopped for almost an hour at the third stoppage. Why? Well, the bus was goi g to stop for 30 minutes since it was an official stop for the company of the bus. Ok, understandable. But for freaking petrol bus stayed there FOR 1 FUCKING HOUR!!!!!!!!!! 

'AYO!! WE WANNA GO HOME PLEASE WTF' this was going in the mind of Asha and Devu.

Because of that, Asha reached her stoppage at 10:15. Her father argued with the driver as soon as she got down and try to get her luggage with the help of the conductor. She took a blessing from her mom and groaned "Papa please, that's enough for today" wit that she dragged her father away before taking his blessing as well. "Now let's go. I know you have to study too and I'm tired already" she managed to convince her dad and they all went home.

Asha still chuckles at the memory. She finishes the next part of her story and published it. She stretched and log out before shutting down her laptop and putting it back on the table and taking off her glasses and putting them away. She drink water and switched on the cooler, switch off the lights, and went to sleep.

Phew~ my fingers are aching from typing non-stop but here you go~ I hope you enjoy it, bye bye~
