"Eww I can't believe she would get hired here"

"I know I wonder what the boss was thinking."

I came to Los Angeles two months ago and settled down. I started looking for a job and I found one, the only problem is people don't seem to mind their own business. The company I started working for is called Evenlay, it's an architect company.

Ever  since I was a child I've always been interested in buildings and the designs. To say the least my life has not been one most people like, I can't possibly tell you how many boyfriends I've had. Nor can I tell you how many bottles of beer I've drunk, I can't tell you how many people hate and are disgusted by me.

I moved from New York for that specific reason. I want to start new and get rid of some of my not so good habits, but it's hard when you find one of your old friends working at the same company as you.

"Celina could you please take Mr.Grey's coffee to him" I pick up the tray and put my clipboard under my arm. I walk carefully to his office and knock. "You may come in."

I walk in and set the coffee on his table, I bow and start walking out. "You're my new assistant correct?"

"Yes sir"

"Well then sit"

"Hm"

"If you're going to be my assistant and I'm your boss, then we should at least get to know each other." He has a fair point.

He's tall, masculine but in a good way. He has jet black hair, hazel eyes, fair skin and he seems to be very polite. He's basically everything a girl could ask for, while me on the other hand I'm everything a guy hates.

"So what was your life like before moving to LA"

"Umm...not very pleasant"

"Care to elaborate"

"I don't think that's a good idea."

"Look in this company there's one rule. You don't judge people according to their past."

He's very sweet, I've heard rumors that he's not interested in any type or shape of female. Which is a shame but yet again, maybe he's worried all they care about is his money.

"This is a Christian company so feel free to be yourself."

"Easier said than done."

"That's ok. I usually get here early so I hope that won't be a problem."

"Oh no that's fine, I'm a morning person myself."

Malory walks in without even knocking. Malory is that old friend I was talking about, she's a Christian but she's the kind that definitely judges you. "Oh I'm sorry I didn't know you had company."

"It's fine. Celina meet Malory"

"Oh we've already met. How's your boyfriend Celina, or should I say boyfriends."

"I...I don't have one but thanks for asking."

"Really? Does that mean you stopped hooking up, anyway I hope you know that our boss isn't really interested."

"I'm not here...."

"Although you do date guys who are poor, why is that? To show off how rich you are?"

I look over and Mr.Grey is just staring at me, I sigh and stand up. "I apologize, I'll see myself out." I turn and nod to him and then grab my clipboard start walking out.

"Celina?"

"Hm...sir"

"I'm glad that you're deciding to change, come and talk to me whenever you want ok?"

"Right, thank you sir."

I drive back to my house, I go into the kitchen before someone rings my doorbell. I walk out there, "your package Miss."

"Could you please sign here" the delivery man leaves and I close the door behind me. I sit in the sitting room and stare at the box, I open it and there it is. My very first Bible, i pull it out of the box and stare at it.

"What I'm I supposed to do, where do I start."

My phone dings and I pick it up, it's Mr.Grey. Where did he get my phone number?

His message reads, "thank you for your hard work today, I hope you have a great night. And remember that God loves you and I'm really excited to work with you. Goodnight."

What in the world, is this some kind of a sign. I look at the text and then at my Bible, I reply with a simple "thanks you too."

I hope that wasn't too dry, I turn off my phone and open my Bible. I guess I should start at the very beginning.
