regret

Celina's Pov:

I wake up to see that Jace already left, I get dressed and head out the door. I call him but he doesn't pick up his phone, when I get to the office everyone is just staring at me. "Hey, are you ok" Amelia says as she gives me a hug, "yea why wouldn't I be?" She shrugs her shoulders and smiles while walking away, I walk in Jace's office, and he lifts his head. "Goodmorning Mr. Grey"

"You're late. Anyway, I want you to complete this design and the come up with the amount that would be used for the decorations." For some reason he seems to be really off, "ok, I'll get to it. When do you want it."?

"By tomorrow morning," is he crazy. How I'm I supposed to finish all of it in a day. "Ok, but I don't think that's possible."

"Miss Park this was not a request, now if you want to keep this job, you'll do the job." I don't understand what has gotten into him, "yes sir." I pick up the folder and walk out of his room, I grab a cup of coffee and go to my office.

"Hey, are you ok. What happened in there?"

"I don't know what's wrong with him, anyway, can you make sure that no one comes in here or bothers me."

"Yea, good luck."  She leaves and locks the door; I get to work.

After what feels like eternity, I finish the design with a raging headache. I start working on the decoration stuff, the customer wants us to design and decorate their beach house since they live far away and don't have to do it themselves. To be honest its fine since we get extra pay for it but this is painful.

I finish with the decoration stuff and put my head down, "I'm just going to close my eyes for a minute."

I feel some one shaking my shoulder, "Hey, Celina wake up." I look up to see Amelia standing over me, did she not go home. "Amelia what are you doing here, did you not go home?"

"Of-course I went home, I showered, I ate, I slept and I woke up and came to work."

"What are you talking about, what time is it." I check my phone to see that it's sevn thirty in the morning."

"Celina did stay here all night working on....." She moves my chair and stares at the screen, "you did all of this by yourself!"

"Crap" I grab my stuff and fix my hair, "I have to get this to Jace, I mean Mr. Grey."

I walk into his office, "Miss Park this was supposed to be in my office thirty minutes ago." I sigh, "I know and I'm sorry but...."

"Then why is it late" I start to feel light, my legs become weak and that's it.

"Celina are you ok" I look around and I'm in a hospital, "Amelia what happened." I scan the room to see my mother standing in the corner, "I. Mom?"

"Oh honey, are you ok. You've been asleep for almost two days" what? "What do you mean, anyway yea I'm fine."

Amelia sighs and smiles at me, "I was so scared, I stayed here all day and all night."  I can't help it but laugh, "what's so funny?"

"It's just that, I knew i made a good choice"

"In what?"

"My best friend," we both laugh and Jace walks in. "By the way honey I wanted to take you to church but if you don't want to come then that's fine too." My mother has always wanted me to go to church but it never worked, "it's ok mom Jace introduced me to one long ago, i've been going to that one. Where is dad?"

She fake smiles, "he was busy and couldn't make it."

"It's ok mom I'm not a child anymore, tell him I said hi."

A few minutes go by, and they all leave, well except for Jace. "You don't have to stay here you know." He giggles, "I know but this is my fault." I knew he would blame himself for it, "it's not your fault."

"Yes, it is I made you over work just because I didn't want to talk about what I said a few days ago." What did he say.

"What exactly did you say a few days ago?" He looks at me in disbelief, I honestly don't know what he's talking about, "wait, do you not remember!"

"Umm, no. If it bothers you that much then I guess it's something you didn't want to say."

"No, it's something I wanted to say just not in that way"

"Does that mean you'll tell me what it was."
"Not right now, you should get some rest I'll come by again to bring you dinner ok?"

"Yea, thanks and stop blaming yourself this is not your fault."

"Ok, now get some rest."
