The truth

"Amelia what are you doing here"
"I'm here to take you home, but first we have to get some food."
"Did I ever tell you how much I love you." She laughs and helps me get all my stuff. Jace has been bringing me foo for lunch everyday for the past week and it's nice and all but it's all healthy stuff. So Amelia taking me out to eat junk food is great, "so I'm guessing that your brother is not coming."
"What is going on between you two anyway, he keeps bugging me about you."
"Umm nothing is going on, anyway he blames himself so that's probably why."
"I don't think blame asks questions like what kinds of  men you've dated before."
"What" we walk to the car, "what do you mean? Did he ask you that?"
"Mhm...he seems to be quite interested in you."
"No way, let's just go get food. If he likes me he would tell me."
We hangout for the rest of the day at my house and then she leaves when it gets dark. I get a text from Jace saying that I didn't need to go to his place as usual in the morning.

"Good morning" everyone stares at me, "I'm fine guys, see." I spin around and find Jace standing in-front of me, "I told you not to come to work today Celina."
"Wha...no you didn't, you said not to come to your house."
"Which means you don't come to work."
"But"
"No buts, go home now."
"But I'm fine"
"Ugh, fine I'll keep an eye on you all day. You can stay but no working on anything without me by your side."
"Ok but..what I'm I supposed to do if I can't work."
"Keep me company."
The whole company is shook as so am I, why does he need me to keep him company. And why did he say it like that, "everyone else get back to work."
He grabs my hand and drags me to his office closing the door behind him.
"Celina you need to stop making me worry about you."
"I'm not trying to, you're the one who's been acting..."
"I'm not acting any different, you just got out of the hospital so."
"Jace is there a reason why you're so worried about me or my life?"
"I'm not"
"Really so does that mean you didn't ask Amelia about the kind of guys I've dated before?"
"She told you?!"
"Well yea duh, she's my best friend."
"Fine it's because I.."
"You like me"
"What I..how...no I.."
"Ha-ha, I was trying to figure out what you said that made you freak out."
"And"
"And I remembered that you have a camera in your office at home."
"So?"
"So I asked Amelia to check it out last night."
"Wait so you know..."
"What you said? Yes"
"I wanted to tell you but.."
"You don't know if I like you back."
"Well do you?"
"Mmmm"
"Celina this is not funny"
"Haha, it kinda is. How can such a powerful man be so shy when it comes to his feelings."
"Just answer my question please or I'm gonna..."
"You're gonna what"
He walks over and closes the blinds in his office and walks back to me. "I'm gonna kiss you right here right now."
"I wha..."
"Celina!"
"Ok fine yes I do like you but..."
Without even being able to ask my question he kisses me, I can't believe this is happening. The man who is known for not falling for anyone fell for me.
Someone opens the door and I hear a glass break and then a gasp. We both turn to see Amelia standing by the door, I giggle at her face expression as if she didn't know about this. I turn to see Jace still staring at me, I push him away. "You didn't let me finish my sentence."
"Oh sorry, go ahead."
"Never mind. Amelia do you need help cleaning that?"
Jace grabs my hand, "just so you know you're my girlfriend now." I have no clue what to say to that other than to nod. He smirks and walks over to his desk, I kneel in-front of Amelia with my back to Jace. "Why did you have to break the glass."
"I'm sorry I was just shocked, anyway congratulations."
She laughing, this girl is laughing at me because she won the stupid bet. "Whatever, anyway I'd been meaning to see you."
"What?"
"How is Chase doing?"
We both get up and as soon as I look behind her, there he is. "Chase? What are you doing here."
I hear Jace get up from his seat and walk over, wrapping his hand around my waist. "Are you ok?"
"Umm yea, can I talk to him for a few minutes?"
"If you're comfortable to" I smile and nod, I look at Amelia who's looking at the ground. "Amelia you come along too, I need to talk to you too."
"Ok"
