Ep 9/Chap 13

I rolled my eyes at Jahas dramatic praises in his speech.

Unity day isn't anything special.
It's just a stupid annual party that we have since the thirteenth station went kaboom.

"My friends, this is a historic Unity Day. Every year, we mark the moment our ancestors of the twelve stations joined to form the Ark, but this is the last time we do so while aboard her. Next year, on the ground."

"Yeah, yeah." I rolled my eyes, crossing my arms against my chest. "What a fucking idiot. We were the sacrifices and yet we still don't get a thank you."

"Right. After we did all the work." Miller throws his arm across my shoulders with an annoyed expression on his face. "Someone shut him up."

"You shut up, Miller. No ones forcing you to watch." Raven bites back.

Miller raised his free arm in surrender since his other was still on my shoulders. "Damn. No need to get all feisty. It's only the truth.."

Miller went on to mutter something along the lines of "control your girlfriend, five"

Still, everyone heard and rolled their eyes while
I lightly laughed. Raven then repeats herself, telling Miller to shut up.

"Calm down, birdie." I chuckled.

Raven had a faint blush on her cheeks which she tried to hide by resting her face in her hand.
After that, me and Miller both turned our heads to each other and smirked.

"You know, who would've thought that you and raven would be a thing." Miller whispered so quiet that I almost couldn't hear it.

"We're not together.." I whispered back, "yet."

He let out a laugh before quieting down and listening to Baha Blast again.

"For ninety-seven years, we have eked out an existence, hoping that someday our descendants would return to Earth."

I continued watching in boredom before Jasper ran over, calling in a crowd. Everyone turns their head in curiosity to see him holding a couple of bottles, calling it Unity Juice.

Gassy Gasper to the rescue.

I'm gonna need some of that.

Miller releases me and we both walk over to Jasper, eager to get our hands on it.

As it gets passed around, I take a bottle from Jasper that's still filled to the top. I scrunch my nose at the strong smell before quickly, with no thought whatsoever, running off with it.

"Five!" Jasper calls after me in complaint.

I hear people groaning and booing out to me but I just turned around, flipping them off before chugging the drink down.

Happy unity day and happy getting drunk day

Happy getting drunk to me.

I've been singing this for the past five minutes. It's kind of catchy in my opinion.

"You want some atom?" I pour some of the alcohol on his grave before putting just a drop on wells' knowing that he's probably light weight.

I walk around camp, looking at all the drunk teens that are dancing and having fun.

I then spot a beautiful high grown tree that was about 25 ft high up. You could easily climb it too.

I immediately ran over to it and finished my drink off before dropping it onto the ground and climbing up the tree.
