When Cedric left I decided to go upstairs to check on Draco. This year Draco has his own room, he told his father that he would drop out if he had to share a room for another year, so of course Draco got what he wanted.
I lightly knocked on his door, there was no response. I pushed open the door and walk into his room. I see Draco peacefully lying in bed, eyes closed. His chest slowly rising and falling as he got deeper into his sleep. I notice he still has his shoes on from the party. I walkover to him and take his shoes of carefully so I don't wake him up. I pull a blanket over him and blow the candle on his bedside table out, now the only light is the reflection of the moon on the lake coming through the window. I turn to walk out the room but something stops me, Draco's hand grabs my wrist. I flinch at the contact, I got scared as I thought he was asleep. I turn to face him, his hand still holding my wrist.
"I'm sorry for ruining your night." He said softly as he let go of my hand.
"Don't be silly." I reply with a slight smile.
"I ruin everything." He says under his breath.
I sit on the bed next to where Draco is lying. He looks broken and vulnerable. I wish I knew what is going threw his head, why he feels the way he does. But that's just the complex mystery of Draco Malfoy, you will never truly know what he's feeling. It breaks my heart seeing him like this, knowing there is nothing I can do to help.
"You should get some rest, we have a big day tomorrow." I say as I place my hand on his cheek before I stand up.
I walk towards the door but before I could reach it Draco starts to speak.
"Stay with me." He says in a soft voice.
"We have class in the morning." I reply as I turn to face him.
"Please." He begged. Emotion fills his drunken voice.
"Okay." I reply softly as I take my shoes off and walk back over to the bed.
Draco moves over and opens up the blanket so I can crawl in next to him. Once I'm in bed I turn to face him, our faces now inches apart. I reach up to caress his face, my hand now resting on his cheek. Draco places his hand on top of mine and gently grabs it as he interlocks our fingers. He slowly slides my hand back down and wraps his arm around my waist, he rests his head in the crook of my neck as he drifts off to sleep.
I know what people think of Draco, they think he's cruel and power hungry, that he is a bully who tricks and hurts people to get what he wants. But he's not the monster everyone thinks he is. He can be caring and kind, I wish they could see him the way I do. But they never will. I know deep down Draco wishes he could be different, he just doesn't know how. In Draco's eyes being kind means your vulnerable and vulnerability means weakness. But seeing him now, lying in my arms, seeking comfort in my embrace, I know that he's not what people portray him to be. He's just lost his way.

I wake up in Draco's bed, before I open my eyes I stretch out my arms and legs, expecting to hit a sleeping Draco. But nobody is there. I sit up and open my eyes so I can look around the room. 'Where did he go?' I think to myself. Just as I was about to call his name the bathroom door opens. I watch as Draco comes out in nothing but a towel."Geez Malfoy put some clothes on." I say playfully.
"Don't be such a prude Ada." He replies with a smirk.
"How are you feeling?" I ask
"I have a terrible headache." Draco replies.
