'Dear Ariadne,
My first few days back at Hogwarts have been quite eventful. I went to my first party of the year and talked to the boy I like, I think we hit it off.
It feels weird being here without Leo, although I do enjoy not having my every move watched.
Speaking of Leo have you heard from him?
I miss you so much and can't wait to see you when I return home for term break.Love, Aradia'
I decided to write a letter to Ariadne before I go to the great hall for dinner, talking with her always helps me feel better, so hopefully writing to her has the same effect.
I really don't want to go to dinner and have to sit on the same table as Draco. I know he apologised straight away but that doesn't change the fact that what he said was really hurtful.
He told me he 'didn't mean it' but he wouldn't of said those things if he really 'didn't mean it', so obviously some part of him thinks that Cedric is to good for me.
Maybe he's right.
Even if he is right I'm not just gonna forgive him straight away and forget about it.
The least he can do is grovel at my feet for a few days.I head down to the great hall for dinner, as I walk past the common room someone calls my name
"Aradia." I turn around to see who is calling me and i'm met with familiar smile of Cedric Diggory.
"Hi Cedric." I say as he walks up to me. His golden curls framing his face.
"Are you heading to the great hall for dinner?" He asks.
"Yeah I am." I reply.
"Good, we can walk over there together." He says with a smile.
Cedric and I walk to the great hall together, earning stares from other students along the way, which doesn't surprise me since Cedric is the 'it' boy of Hogwarts and I'm just the friend of the blonde psychopath.
"Is Draco feeling better since last night?" Cedric asks breaking the silence.
"Much better." I say with a heavy sigh.
"You don't sound to happy about that." Cedric says as he looks at me.
"It's not that obvious is it?" I ask with a chuckle.
"The prolonged sigh kinda gave it away." He replied with a slight laugh. He keeps looking at me like he is waiting for me to explain the reason behind the sigh.
"We got into a bit of a fight this morning." I say
"About what?" He asks curiously.
"It's a bit of a long story." I say hoping he won't ask me about it.
"Dinner doesn't finish for another hour and a half, so I think we have enough time." He replies with a smirk.
"Why do you want to know so bad?" I ask suspiciously with a smirk.
"Because listening to you is much better then hearing my friends talk about all the girls they have shagged." He says blatantly.
"Fair enough." I reply with a slight giggle.
"Basically ever since Leo has left Draco has taken it upon himself to look after me and he likes to believe he knows what's best for me, Which he doesn't, and he's just being unbearably annoying." I say with many gestures."That does sound extremely frustrating, you know if you ever need to get a break from Malfoy you can always hang out with me." He says with a smile.
"I just might take you up in that." I say with a laugh.
Not long after we arrive at the great hall. I scan the large room and my eyes immediately falling to Draco's cold stare. This will be interesting.
"Thanks for walking with me Aradia." He says softly as he places his hand on my arm.
"Thanks for putting up with my ranting." I say in reply trying not to blush at the contact.
"Anytime." Cedric says with a smile before he leaves to sit with his friends at the Hufflepuff table.
I walk over to the Slytherin table dreading whatever snarky comment Draco comes up with. But to my surprise he says silent, smart move.
"Mika was right looks like someone is getting more 'experience'." Blaise says with a cheeky smirk which as immediately followed by a death stare from Draco.
"It's not like that Blaise, me and Cedric are just friends." I say reassuringly in hopes that Draco will calm down and not get sent to Azkaban for using an unforgivable curse on Blaise.
The rest of dinner was pretty awkward as nobody knew what to say, so we mostly just sat in silence except for the times when Blaise would try and start a conversation, but his endeavour failed when nobody except Mika replied.
As soon as dinner finished we headed back to our common room and sat on the leather couches in-front of the fire place. We sat in silence for about five minutes until Blaise spoke.
"Right, you two better sort out this silent feud you got going on cause it's making it really fucking awkward for the rest of us." Blaise's words had us in shock, I can't believe he just came right out and said it. But then again Blaise is known for speaking his mind. Blaise left the room with mika following behind him. Great now it's just me and Draco.
"I'm sorry for what I said earlier." Draco says softly.
"I know." I reply looking away from him, hoping he will take a hint and leave me alone, instead he moves closer so that he's right next to me.
"Ada." He whispers in my ear, "look at me." He speaks softly as he gently puts his hand on my face as turns my head. His rings leaving a cold sensation.
"What I said, I said it out of anger. I didn't mean a word of it, there is not a part of me that believes those words to be true." He says, his hand still holding my face, his silver eyes locked on mine, as a single tear rolls down my face. "You are by far the most beautiful girl I know, inside and out, any guy, especially Cedric, is lucky to have you even look in their direction. I would be nothing without you Aradia, I love you more then anything." He finishes as he wipes away my tear with his thumb. I immediately pull him into a hug, his arms wrap tightly around me.
"Anything" I say still in his warm embrace.
"Anything." He whispers in my ear.
