"Well. Time to go Sam."

Sam looked at Amelia when the latter stood up. Tumingin siya sa clock na nasa pader at 30 minutes na lang bago ang meeting nito sa dalawang business man. Malapit lang naman ang pupuntahan nila. So she knew that there's no need to hurry. Pero mukhang ang motto ni Amelia sa buhay ay, early bird gets the worm.

Tapos na itong mag make up at mukhang handang handa na talaga sa meeting. Kanina lang ay hindi ito makatingin sa kanya dahil ito naman ang pinag mamasdan niya. But seeing that Amelia became more gorgeous ay iniwas niya ang tingin niya. Her heart beating against her rib cage.

Sam put a hand to it to stop it from beating hard. Maybe she just got too much coffee to stay awake. That's all. Bakit naman siya magagandahan dito?

Sam shook her head. Maybe she's having a withdrawal from party. Lalake kasi ang madalas mag approach sa kanya but this time. Ang boss niya lang ang lagi niyang nakikita.

Nag wisik ito ng pabango bago ito tuluyang umalis sa table nito. Sam got a wiff of Amelia's perfume nang dumaan ito sa harap niya. She inhaled deeply.

Damn it! Bakit ang bango nito?

She caught Amelia's smirk nang dumaan ito sa harap niya.

Napailing na lang si Sam. Kung ipinapakita nitong mas better ito sa kanya sa lahat ng pagkakataon. She might have to prove her boss wrong.

Sam grabbed her bag and other documents na kailangan nila sa meeting. Sinundan niya ito ng lumabas ito ng hallway.

"First of all. You have to intimidate men when you have a meeting with them."

Kumunot ang noo niya sa sinabi nito. "Why?"

"Because business is a man's world, Sam." Lumingon ito sa kanya and Sam saw a flicker of sadness mixed with irritation in Amelia's eyes. "Natatapakan ang ego nila. Lalo na kapag babae ang kaharap. Someone who has beauty and brains to boot."

Sam couldn't help the chuckle that made its way to her throat. "Isn't that too much of a boast?"

Amelia looked at her slightly offended pero saglit lang natigilan ito at napatawa.

"Yes. I think that's boasting but who would lift my ego? Certainly not you, Sam."

Sam didn't utter a word for that. Ngumiti lang siya dito. But in her mind. Amelia had proven enough that she was really a diamond worth keeping. Christian made the huge mistake of cheating on his wife.

Amelia is a formidable force. She wasn't just beautiful. She's intelligent and confident.

Kung siya ang lalake. She would keep Amelia to herself. She will make time for her kahit na sobrang busy ito sa trabaho. She'll do whatever it takes to keep this woman but she was no man and Amelia doesn't need a man. Is she?

Malaki ang confidence nito sa sarili and she admire Amelia for that.

Sam looked behind Amelia. Matambok ang pisngi ng pwet nito. It was a sexy ass for sure and she couldn't help but chuckle.

"Sam?"

"Yes, boss?" Sam's voice became high pitched. She cleared her throat. "May nakalimutan ka ba sa taas, boss?"

Sam looked at the back of the hallway para makaiwas sa tingin nito.

"No. Sabayan mo ako sa pag lalakad. Hindi pa tapos ang lessons mo."

Bago pa makahuma si Sam. Amelia hook her arms on hers and they walked side by side.

Naiilang naman na bahagya niyang inilayo ang sarili dito. Sa sobrang lapit nila ay nalulunod siya sa amoy nito. It was a fresh smell of watermelon and strawberries.
