It was a couple of days later when Khanna returned from his Goa with loads of gifts and astonished the family members, who all broke into fits of laughter tardily.

Shivaay and his wife had taken good care of Rudra for posting their pictures without their knowledge and for peeking into their room. Note the sarcasm. Even Tej stood in support of the young couple and had asked him to complete the specific data of his office work as retribution.

Poor Rudy.

By then the family had bid a good farewell to Omkara who in return promised to come back as soon as possible. Annika's family were back to their own lives living her behind in great shape. Annika and Shivaay had decided to stay for more few days before retrieving back to their apartment. After the meeting with her college Principal, Tej was furious with her actions and warned them to stay at a good distance till she completed her studies, if her marks drops in the place Annika would be staying with elders and Shivaay alone in his own the flat. Hearing so both had reduced their public affection and maintained a good distance of two or more feet without their skin touching.

"You keep your hands and mouth to yourself and six feet distance from my daughter. If her marks and concentration see a dropping I shall skin you out alive." These were the precise words Tej had used against Shivaay and threatened.

Truth be told, it was hard to keep their hands, itching lips to themselves nevertheless, that they sustained. Scared of the consequences. By now Annika joined Shivaay on the list of fatalities of Tej and Arundhati's anger.

"I honestly missed you all similar to you all. I missed you." Khanna dramatically cried out hugging his Rudy baba and greeting others with a slight bow.

Annika frowned upon looking at the man ahead of her, a hippie to be exact with a contrasting colour assortment. Tugging her notes and calculator aside which she was using under the guidance of her Sasur Ji, she walked out.

"This is Namit Khanna, chief security in charge for the Oberois, especially Tej." Jhanvi introduced glaring at Khanna for his absence without notice of her.

She did care. Like a family.

"And she is Annika Shivaay's-"

"Ohh I know. You might be Shivaay's girlfriend. I know you but you don't."

"Yes. Wife to be exact." Annika smiled at Khanna.

"I'm much older than him but still tight friends. Once he was bullied by a group of seniors and it was I who punched them all. We both have largely a sense of humour that others don't understand. You-" Khanna continued blabbering nonstop boasting until Shivaay walked into the mansion with a couple of jute bags in his hands.

"You know what? You were the captain of those seniors. I hate you." Shivaay pointed his fingers accusing Khanna and later tossed a bell pepper from his bag in his direction.

Thankfully Annika stops between and caught hold of the vegetables before it was squashed.

Bobbing at her in gratitude for joining him (according to him it's a team), Khanna twisted his upper torso to reach out his backpack and pulled out a few wrapped packets which he handed over to Annika.

"For me? What is this?" Mumbling incoherently Annika instantly unwrapped with urgency. Shivaay tsk-tsked at her for her impatience and jumped beside her to get a better view.
