"Get into your gear Rye, we've got a team to show off to."
Dean ordered his sister as they rushed into the changing room that Mr Jenkins guided them to after showing them where to put their extra luggage.
Ryleigh looked around the changing room only seeing 4 lockers filled which she assumed were the other players from around the United States. The two got into their hockey gear with the same black-coloured jerseys from their hockey club, put on their padding, grabbed their hockey sticks and went to the rink. Ryleigh couldn't help but feel eager to go and meet her new teammates - so she rushed out onto the ice and skated towards the middle of the ice with her brother and looked around to see who she should go up to first.
Gliding down the ice, she stopped behind a boy skating around the rink before speed skating down from blue line to blue line, then taking a sharp turn back and gliding down the ice before subsequently crashing into the boards. Ryleigh went to help him up after hearing an audible, "Oof" from the guy.
"Seems like you took quite a blow from the boards there." Ryleigh chuckled while extending a hand to the speedster.
"Heh, yeah, I always do that." he bashfully smiled and was playing with his fingers in embarrassment. He then introduced himself as Luis Mendoza and began to do painfully awkward finger guns as he sputtered out, "That's my name!".
Ryleigh caught on to his embarrassed structure and quietly snickered. She stated, "Alright Luis Mendoza! Name's Ryleigh Portman, friends call me Lee for short and family call me Rye." Ryleigh then pointed towards Dean who was trying to flirt with a blonde girl and started to joke, "Over there, that's my brother Dean - he's sort of a meathead."
His tense, coy stature eased up and he laughed along with Lee about her brother. Ryleigh then commented, "You know, you're really quick on the ice - it's too bad that you crash into stuff when you're done". to which Luis retorted with, "Oh yeah? Haven't seen what you can do!"
Lee took this as a challenge but decided to taunt him by saying, "Yowza Sir. Speedster, looks like you have yourself a challenge, but you've got to wait until later, Mendoza, I'm pretty sure Dean is disturbing someone's peace." The both of them chortled at that as Lee decided to go and meet the girl that Dean decided to flirt with and hopefully embarrass her brother. "Killing two birds with one stone" she thought.

Skating up to her brother, Lee made sure to muffle the sound of her ice skates the best she could, to make sneaking up on him successful.
Now, she was right behind him - a devious smirk on her face, when a high voice was heard by both of the Portman siblings.
"Hi! Who are you?" the voice exclaimed, making Dean turn around and find his younger sister looking completely flustered as she had been caught and all. He gave her a side eye of irritation while the girl gave her a wide smile and raised eyebrows wanting to know the answer to her question. Lee only responded with a stiff wave and nervously chuckled out, "Ryleigh Portman, this big guy's sister."
