"It's time," Silas said to the brunette standing beside him, who was looking at the blue skies filled with clouds and rays of sunshine. It was her favorite spot to see; her beautiful Greece. The place where she had lived her mortal life, but also the place where she was robbed of it.

The brown-eyed beauty turned to look at him, her expression on her features resembling coldness. "Why do you think that?"

"I can feel it, little sister," He said, a small smirk forming on his lips. "After twenty centuries, it's finally our time. We'll be roaming the Earth again, and together, we'll wreak havoc around everything around us."

Scarlynn remained neutral, it was all she could feel during all these decades; nothing. She didn't feel an ounce of emotion, being stuck in a limbo between dead and alive since the first century had taken a toll on her.

She used to be a joyful woman; one who loved everything around her, one who helped all those who needed it, one who found the beauty in the most simple things- one who saw the world with loving eyes.

But that all shattered. She was now the shell of a person she used to be. All these years feeling every emotion possible; anger, sadness, frustration, uneasiness, terror, resignation, and many others, she learned one thing.

No matter what you feel, and how strongly you do, you can't change the situations you're in. You can't change the things around you, no matter how much you desire to.

She learned that emotions were useless, they only made you suffer from things you couldn't control. So, better not feel them at all.

Scarlynn has had a long time to practice that; feeling no emotions. And she had to admit, she was a professional at that, probably the best one in the whole universe.

That's the reason she wasn't angry at her brother for making her immortal. The reason she wasn't angry at Qetsiyah for putting her in a sleeping state when she had nothing to do with her brother's actions.

That's the reason she wasn't joyful or excited that it was time. Honestly, when she finally roamed the Earth after so many years, all she wanted was to find the cure, drink it, and end her life.

"Oh, come on, Scarlynn." Silas pushed her arm slightly, "Show me a little smile.

The olived-skin girl simply rolled her eyes, ignoring her brother's words. "I'll wait then."

There was one word that described Scarlynn; numb.

Bonnie Bennett and Jeremy Gilbert had walked for various minutes alone through the passage together, their flashlights held on their hands as they illuminated the darkness surrounding them. It was surprising to them how seven people had arrived on the island to retrieve the cure to vampirism, and now they were alone, the others nowhere to be seen.

Both of them enjoyed the company they had, though.

When they finally arrived at the cave, both pairs of brown eyes roamed the place, feeling slightly nervous about what was going to happen. It was dark, yet a few rays of sunshine illuminated the place.

The scent they could perceive from the place was humid stone, which wasn't a surprise. It was an island they were at, after all. From what they could see, there were two mummified bodies laying beside each other, only of them holding a small box on their chest.

They assumed that it was Scarlynn, since that body was smaller than the one next to it.

"Is this it? This is the cure?" Jeremy questioned, suddenly feeling like he had been tricked. "How is that supposed to cure every vampire in the world?" It made no sense how a tiny, small box could turn every vampire into human.
