I was helping my mum with the factory today and cleaned with her early in the morning before children with adults could arrive.
During the day at 11:00am, I was walking through the Huggy Wuggy section of toys as I saw a child trying to reach the 1 metre, Huggy Wuggy plushie. I was short for my age but I could reach it as I was much taller than her. I grabbed the corner of the bag (the plushie was in) and brought it down towards the little girl.
"Thank you stranger!" She giggled and look up and me until I crouched down near her height.
"Your welcome, but where's your parents? Shouldn't they be with you?" I asked her.
"They are talking with the manager about something I think. Well, that's what they told me."
"Do you want me to stay with you until they return, my mum is the manager and I help her around here so I know most things about the toys if you wanna know some things." I held her tiny, fragile hands.
She glared at me as if I grew two heads as she started jumping around in amazement, "Really that's so cool! Wait could we go see my mummy and daddy then?"
I nodded and took her to my mum's office where she would organise the factory and made more designs for interesting toys. When I got there I saw the girl's parents talking with my mum as I knocked on the door. "Excuse me?" I opened it.
The little girl ran up to her parents and hugged her mum, "Mummy this lady helped me find you since she was concerned about why you weren't there with me!" I felt awkward as her parents stared at me.
"Oh hello lass, you are Mrs. L/N daughter right? She was telling me about how well behaved you are when working with her." I giggled and nodded.
After chatting with them for a while, I found out the little girl was called Oakley and her parents were applying for a job in the factory as they also love children just like my mum. I also found out the girl was only 3 years younger than me even though she looked way younger.
After a couple of days when the factory wasn't open, I snuck out the house and lied to my mum about going out with my friends.
I walked to the factory with suitable clothes on and I had to bring protection just incase pedophiles or perverts are stalking me.
I got to the factory and went into Huggy Wuggy's secret room (through the vents) and met up with the toys. "Oh, what a surprise, Poppys here!"
Cat Bee started explaining, "She came because— Mhp!" Poppy covered Cat Bee's mouth with her hands.
"I came because I was bored." Poppy quickly said.
"Okay..?" I replied, suspiciously.
"Don't worry, she's a little weird," Kissy Missy said, smirking at Poppy.
Suddenly, Poppy started screaming, "I AM NOT WEIRD!" I covered my ears thinking how loud she was for a doll. Everyone turned quiet until Boogie-Bot changed the subject.
"Alright? Uhm... y/n why are you here at this time?" He asked.
"I was bored and I kinda lied to my mum which I never do and I totally regret it and—" Kissy Missy covered my mouth to silence me from talking so fast in guilt.
"It's okay hon' you don't need to worry, you can go home if you really want to."
"Thanks, but I've been so busy with helping children since I don't have free time with you guys because I've been hanging out with Oakley so I kind of want to spend it with you guys now"
"Awww that's cute, but who's Oakley?" Cat Bee asked.
For a couple of minutes I basically explained a whole essay about who she was and why I'm close to her. The group of friends looked at me.
"Well I'm glad you made a friend."
