Y/N'S POV
"AND THEN THE DOOR JUST DISAPPEARED?" I asked. Mirabel told me how she never got a gift like the others. I felt bad for her. "YEA, I STILL DON'T KNOW WH-" she was interrupted by the door opening, "Dinner's ready, hm!" Dolores almost whispered. I don't blame her, everything must be so loud for her. "Hi Y/N! You're eating with us today?" Dolores asked me, "Mhm! Wait... how didn't you know? I mean, you can hear everything," I asked her with interest, "I was probably in my room when you agreed to have dinner with us, my room is soundproof so I can rest properly." She said with a smile.

We went downstairs to the dining table. I looked around trying to choose where to sit. "Wait Y/N, you're eating dinner with us?! Come sit next to me!" It took me a second to realize whose voice it was. Camilo patted the seat on the right next to him and smiled. I smiled at him and sat next to him while Mirabel sat on the other side of me. I thought I had seen everyone from the family, but I was proved wrong when I saw a boy sitting on the left next to Camilo. He looked like Camilo, but with one of his eyes covered by his hair. He wore a red poncho, and his hair was slightly darker and less curly than Camilo's. His eyes were more brown than Camilo's, but they also had a green tint to them. Camilo must've realized that I was looking at the boy next to him "Oh yea, Y/N that's my twin brother, Carlos. Carlos, this is my friend, Y/N. She's new in town." Carlos looked at me with slight confusion "Hey." He quickly said, before turning his face back to his plate. "Hi." I gave him a small smile, which he didn't return, since his focus was another place. "Everyone, as you probably already know, this is Y/N. She's new here, please make her feel welcome and help her if she needs it!" Abuela Alma said. I gave her a smile. We began putting food on our plates, "Hey Y/N, I'm sorry I never told you that I have a twin brother, I completely forgot to tell you about him when I showed you around." Camilo whispered to me, while putting an arepa on his plate "It's okay, you had to show me a lot that day, I don't blame you" I said and giggled. We began eating and my eyes fell back at Carlos who was eating an empanada while looking down at his plate. I could tell he wasn't like his twin brother. Maybe the opposite? But who was I to know that? I only just met him. "Uh... Y/N, do you already like my primo Carlos?" Mirabel whispered to me with a smirk. My eyes grew wide and I could feel my face heat up "What?! No, of course not, I just met him!" I whispered-yelled back at her, and she giggled at my reaction. The rest of the dinner went on with me talking with Mirabel and Camilo and the Madrigals asking me questions. Sometimes Camilo and Carlos talked with eachother and I could hear Carlos chuckle, but for the rest of the dinner, Carlos didn't make a sound.

Y/N'S MOTHER'S POV
"I'm sorry, I just can't do this anymore." My husband said. My eyes widened and I freezed in place. We had just been in an argument and it turned into a really bad one. "B... but what about the kids?" I asked with worry in my eyes. I couldn't believe this was happening. The kids didn't know that F/N and I have been getting in lots of arguments the past 6 months. "M/N, THE KIDS WILL HAVE TO ACCEPT IT. WE DON'T WORK TOGETHER AND THEY WILL HAVE TO LEARN TO UNDERSTAND THAT." The only ones who were home were me, F/N and BB/N. BB/N was the only one who knew about the arguments F/N and I have been having. LS/N were out with some of her friends she made the past week, and Y/N was eating dinner with the Madrigals. "... Okay..." I had to accept that F/N and I unfortunately had to end our marriage this way. F/N began walking out of the door with bags full of all his things, "F/N?... F/N where are you going?!" He stopped for a second without looking back, but began walking out of the door again without a word, "F/N YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE-" I ran to the door, but I knew it was hopeless. I heard BS/N run down the stairs, "Mamá? What's going on?!" He asked me with panic in his voice. "He left, BB/N... He just..."
He left us, and there was nothing I could do.
