Y/N's POV:
"Bye, Y/N, come again soon!" Camilo shouted in excitement while Mirabel waved goodbye. I giggled and waved back at them.
As I walked in my house, I felt something completely off. Everything was quiet and it seems like LS/N still wasn't home? I walked up to BB/N's room and knocked. No answer. Something was definitely up. It was only until I went into Mamá's room I realized what exactly was up. "M-mamá?!" I ran to her when I relazed she was crying. BB/N was patting her back and comforting her. BB/N looked sadly and directly into my eyes "come with me, I have to tell you something" this wasn't good.

It was getting late and I couldn't sleep. My pillow was wet from tears and my head started hurting. I looked out of the window and stared at the moon. The sky was covered in stars and it was getting rather dark. Why would he... my dad, leave his own family?... Were we not good enough for him? Did I do something wrong? Did he leave because of me? What about LS/N? She's gonna be heartbroken. After she came home from her friend's house today, I could see she knew something weird had happened. Nobody told her what happened though. Poor her. She probably never expected this to happen. I sighed. I've been trying to sleep for 2 hours now without any luck. I wasn't just gonna lay there and wait for myself to fall asleep.
I opened the window and felt a slight breeze brush against my skin. It wasn't cold outside. It wasn't hot either. It was in between. I slowly sat on the window sill. I carefully jumped out, and made sure the window didn't close. Yes, I was still in my pajamas, but nobody was gonna see me anyway.
I heard water spillng and followed the sounds. It was the water fountain. It looked beautiful, and I couldn't help, but touch the water spilling from the fountain. The water was cold. I decided to walk around a bit more until I found a kind of corridor outside made with brick walls. As I walked in, I saw sone trash bins. It was quiet, until I heard a sound. It all became quiet again. I saw a silhouette of a cat and another silhouette squatting... it looked like a boy. Maybe I shouldn't have gone in here. I kept telling myself not to walk further in, but I disobayed myself. I still couldn't figure out who exactly the person I saw a silhouette of was.
"Hey" a male voice spoke. I jumped. I didn't expect him to talk to me. "Uh- hello?..." I nervously replied. As I walked closer, the silhouettes became clearer. It was a boy, petting a cat. The boy looked a bit like Camilo. Maybe it was him? "Excuse me... who are you? if you don't mind me asking" I nervously questioned him.
"Wow. Forgot me already?" The boy answered with a slight of humor added to his tone. The voice was definitely recognizable. "... Camilo?" I asked unsure. "Wrong" the boy answered. I looked at him confused. i could only see his side profile in the dark. It was only until he faced me, I realized who it was. "Carlos?..."
"Correct." He replied. I looked at him in slight surprise. Why was he out here so late? "I sneaked out." He suddenly said, almost as if he could read my thoughts. Maybe he could see the confusion on my face. "Oh, alright" I replied. My head began throbbing again. I saw it coming. I've been crying for over 2 hours after all. I quietly hissed in pain. "You okay?" Carlos asked. He didn't realy sound worried, it was more a question to dampen the awkward silence. "Yeah, I'm fine. My head just hurts a bit, I guess" He stood up and looked at me. "You've obviously been crying" he said. His voice sounded a bit more interested now. I kept quiet. "I don't think that headache just suddenly appeared." I looked down at the ground. Even if making eye contact in such darkness was hard, I couldn't get myself to look at him. He didn't give me the same safe feeling as Camilo did. He was more cold, and it didn't really seem like he wanted me to be there. "Uhh yea something happened at home, but it's no big deal" I answered. Out everything I could say, out of every excuse I could make, I decided to say that. I should've just come up with an excuse. "Doesn't seem like it isn't a big deal." I sighed. I didn't know what to answer. He sat down against the brick wall and continued petting the cat. Should I just say it directly? Before I could think more of it, he said, "Just tell me what happened." I paused. I didn't know if I should. i didn't know him enough to know which kind of guy he was. Was he someone who told everyone your secrets? But I still decided to tell him what happened. "My dad left my family and I.." It became completely quiet for a while. Carlos stopped petting the cat, and looked at the brick wall in front of him. It was clear he didn't want to make eye contact, which was fair. "I'm sorry... about that. He then said. I didn't say anything. I had to chance the theme of what we were talkng about. He moved his gaze at the cat. "What are you doing here anyway?" I quickly asked. "I typically go out at night, cause of the silence. I like when it's quiet, and it rarely is at Casita." I could imagine that. So many people in one house. A big house, yes, but still. As I was about to reply, I remembered the time. It was probably really late. "I can imagine that... uh I should really get going. I'm not supposed to be out, and I don't want my mom to get mad at me so..." I became quiet for a bit, "I get it. Go back home and get some rest." Carlos said. "Alright well... good night. I'll... see you?" Carlos nodded quietly, "Mhm, good night." I started walking home. Once I saw my window I climbed into my room, and layed on the bed. I immediately fell asleep.
