"Here I come , y'all!" Dwayne yelled as he chased us "Watch out , here he comes !" I yelled as I took a left "Whoo!, Come here ! Come here , boy!" Dwayne yelled as he pulled people down with his rope "come on , come on!" I say as I pulled Julie who was pulling Connie "watch out , girls !" Dwayne yelled at us as we skated faster "you can't hit the broadside of a barn "he said "You can't get away from me , Conway!" He said as the rope got me and pulled me down , "Aw he's got Fulton!" I yelled , averman hid in the goalie box ,"Whoa, Charlie , you're done , boy!" Dwayne said as he pulled Charlie down and we all laughed till we heard a whistle be blown.
We all skated next to each other and I stood between Connie and Adam ,Charlie looked up to see a man standing there ," My name is coach Orion" he said firmly as Charlie got up from the ice "you can call me "coach " or coach Orion " he said "well you can call me "Charlie "Charlie said as we all chuckled "is he nuts?" Russ said "that must be what that "C" on your jersey stands for ,huh?, it sure doesn't stand for "captain " Coach said coldly and we all looked at each other ,"Sorry coach we were just messing with you , you know ? -" russ said "hey Bombay gave him that "C!" I said defending my brother "And I respect that, but that's the past , this is my team now , and I'll be selecting the captain " coach said "You gotta be kidding me , right? I mean your the rookie here " Charlie said "we all been together for four years " he said again as we all just agreed "Okay Charlie , laps. Right now " coach spoke to him "uh-oh" Connie said "how many , coach Orion " Charlie replied "I don't recall saying " coach said as Charlie sighs and begins to skate .
"Now you listen up , and you listen up good" coach said "we are here for one reason and one reason only." He said again "you know what that is?, it starts with a W" He asked "To win , coach Orion , sir! Averman said "No" he replied as I laughed and then cleared my throat and looked down "To work!" Coach said "high school hockey is very hard work, And it all begins ...with defense , I've seen your tapes, I know you can score goals,I just don't know if you can stop them" he said as Goldberg laughed "hey" he said and coach looked at him "sorry ,sir" he said"your not kids or little ducks anymore so I'm not gonna treat you that way, your gonna learn to play two-way hockey : offense and defense,it's gonna take one thing , it starts with a W" he said "To work , coach Orion , Sir!" Averman said again as Dwayne hit his arm"wrong " coach said "will, it's gonna take a real will, if you wanna play in my barn -all right count off " he said as we started to count in threes .
