I arrived at the hospital and walked up to the desk
"Hello, I'm just visiting Makoto Teruhashi"
"Ok do you need the room number?"
"Yeah I havnt been here in a while"
"1753"
"Okay thank you" I said and walked to his room, cautiously I walked in. He was still asleep and very pale, he desperately needed a haircut and would probably start crying if he saw his current appearance. I smiled at the thought and sat on the edge of the bed, taking his hand in my own

"Hi Makoto, I know it been a while but uh geez I don't even know what to say. I guess, I miss you. I don't know if you have any perception of time but it's been 2 months since the gala. A long two months at that, I havnt been able to invent anything and I'm just miserable without you. Please wake up soon" I said "I could really use your advice right about now" I said and felt him squeeze my hand, my head shot up and I stared at him wide eyed "Makoto? Are you awake?" He squeezed my hand again and opened his eyes, immediately fighting the intubation "oh my god" I said and ran out of the room "NURSE NURSE!"
"Sir is everything okay?"
"He's awake!" She got up and followed me into the room

"Hey it's okay, try to relax" she said and took out the intubation, then listened to his heartbeat and breathing "hello Mr Teruhashi, welcome back we missed you" she said "can you try to speak?" He opened his mouth but nothing came out "take your time" he pointed at me and tried to talk again
"Da-" he swallowed "dar-ling" he said
"I know I'm here" I said taking his hand he smiled as a tear slipped down his face
"I missed you too" he whispered
"Would you like me to call family?"
"Um no I think I can do it thank you"
"Mhm call me if there's any issues" I nodded and she left
"Do you want some water?" He nodded and I went to fill the cup, he took a sip
"Thank you" he said "fill me in on what I missed" I smiled
"Okay" I said and started from the gala, he listened intently as he sipped his water. When I finished he just stared at me with a familiar look on his face "what?" I asked and smiled
"Nothing"
"No it's something, what?"
"I really missed your voice" he said "you went so long without visiting me I thought you forgot about me"
"You knew I was visiting you?"
"Mhm, I could still hear and feel things around me. That's how I squeezed your hand"
"Why didnt you wake up earlier?"
"I don't know, I guess I didn't want to. A small part of me liked listening to what people said about me when they thought I couldn't hear them. But I heard about what you did"
"What do you mean?" The I love you or pleading my brother to save you?
"Tell me about your brother, you weren't lying when you said he was phycic were you?"
"No"
"How did he get his powers?"
"H was born with them, like I was born a genius"
"And the competitive thing?"
"I was obsessed with proving myself to be better than him obviously I'm not"
"Really? I would think that you are"
"Why? I'm not special"
"You're special to me, I mean you changed my life and made it worth living"

"You taught me what it felt like to love someone unconditionally, to want to be a better person just for them"

"Kusuke I've been wanting to tell you this forever now but I love you. And I've been so scared to say it because I didn't want to scare you off, but the whole almost dieing thing made me realize that I should've just said it from the beginning. So I'm saying it now, I'm in love with you Kusuke Saiki and I want you to be my boyfriend officially" I stared in shock, then grabbed the water and set it down on the bedside table. Then leaned forward and kissed him, i climbed in his lap and cradled his face. He pulled away and smiled
"1. I love you too 2. I'd love to your boyfriend officially" I said and he held my waist
"You're waist is smaller than I remember" he said and lift my shirt "have you been eating?"
"Not really, I mean the whole losing-your-boyfriend-to-a-coma thing kinda screwed with my mental health" he sighed
"I'm gonna have to fatten you up aren't I?"
"Wha? No! I'm perfectly fine the way I am"
"Ku your 20 and you look like you way 90 lbs"
"I'm short, kinda comes with the body type" he rolled his eyes
"When we get out of here I'm treating you to real food" he said rubbing my hips with his thumbs, making my stomach fill with butterflies
"Fine" I said crossing my arms, he smiled and leaned in to whisper in my ear
"Good boy~" I blushed and shoved his chest
"Don't say that, were in the hospital"
"And yet you are still on my lap"
"Shut up I'm touch deprived" he smiled and chuckled
"C'mere" he said and wrapped my arms around his neck, then pulled me closer by my hips. The sudden friction giving me a jolt of pleasure
"Mh" I gripped his shoulder
"Oh? What was that cute little noise?"
"Shut up" I mumbled and rest my forehead in the crook of his neck, he chuckled and wrapped his arms around my waist; rubbing my back to comfort me. I closed my eyes and relaxed in his arms, we stayed like that in silence for what felt like hours.

"Oh my god" I flinched and looked at the door "Makoto you're awake!" Kokomi said and ran in "I'm sorry for interrupting but get off my brother so I can hug him please"
"I would but I'm a little stuck"
"Dont worry Ive got you" he said and picked me up so I could get off him
"Thanks" Kokomi hugged Makoto
"Hi Koko, I missed you" he said and she started crying
"I missed you too Mako" she said and sniffled "I missed you so much"
"Where's mom and dad?"
"On the way" she said and pulled away "you look horrible though"
"I do?"
"You really need a haircut and a long shower"
"Ah" he said and moved the blanket "I need to shower" he said
"Uh I don't know if you should try and walk just yet"
"I'll be fine darling" he said and Kokomi gasped
"Are you guys finally dating!?"
"Shh yes"
"Yay!" She said and smiled clapping like a little girl
"Please tell him he should try and walk yet"
"Koto he's right, you barely just woke up. You have ease back into things"
"No I'll be fine"
"Makoto Teruhashi sit your ass back down, you aren't going anywhere" I said and he reluctantly sat back down as his parents walked in

"Mom dad" he said and smiled they shared a hug and I grabbed my phone. "Who are you calling?" Kokomi asked
"A few friends who would be ecstatic to find out hes awake"
"Amari and Shoyo?" He asked
"Yeah"
"Gimmie the phone let me call them"
"Ok ok" I said and sat next to him, they both picked up
"Hey ken! What's up?"
"Hey I can't talk long"
"Well you better talk long" Makoto said and they both look at their phones
"TOORU! Omg you're awake!"
"Yeah, hi guys it's been a while"
"How are you?"
"Good"
"Did you look like a mess"
"Yeah well I was in a coma for two months"
"Glad to have you back Tooru"
"We missed you"
"Yeah I kinda gathered that" he said "I'll talk to you guys later?"
"Okay see ya!"
"Love you"
"Love you too" he said and hung up as the doctor walked in

"Hello everyone, I see that you've woken up"
"I have" he said and the doctor began the checkup
"How do you feel?"
"Good, although I desperately need a shower and a hair cut"
"Don't worry, you'll be out of here by next week. A few hours of pt to make sure everything is normal and your good"
"Thats great, thank you" he said "when can I start walking again?"
"In about a day, we have to do a few tests to make sure all your injuries have healed with no complications"
"Okay"

Everything worked out perfectly fine and Makoto was released from the hospital the following week. His parents offered to let me stay with them while they were away. Of course I accepted, I desperately missed him and his touch.....I don't think I need to go into details. You know what's coming next 😉😏
