"Ugh!" Liam bounced upon his luggage, trying to get the clothing items, held inside, to flatten so he could zip it up. Packing was always a difficult task for him - everything from not knowing what exactly to take to getting it all to fit. At times, he thought he packed too much, then there were times when he thought he didn't take enough and would have to shop around in whatever city they were in. Just like they had been informed, the boys were set to head to the states, New York City, to be exact, to do some further album promotion, before their vacation in Rome. No doubt, Liam was just as excited as anyone would be if they were granted such a trip; but he still found himself annoyed at the fact that any and everything was keeping him and Niall apart, since yesterday.
Not only did Zayn interrupt their small moment in the elevator, but he also sat next to Niall in the truck. To Liam's dismay, they all headed to their separate flats to rest up and get packed. Of course, Liam didn't get much done yesterday, so he was in a bit of a dilemma with no help, now. He removed himself from the luggage bag, then knelt down near it to take a few things out. He analyzed each clothing carefully - deciding what he would actually need, what would be suitable for the obligations they had to fulfill, and what he thought would be just extra baggage to carry around. He found a red, plain T-shirt, face twisting in confusion. Liam knew for a fact that he hadn't owned one and hadn't really seen it around his place before. He contemplated his options, remembering that both Niall and Zayn did in fact own one, as seen in their music video for 'Live While We're Young'; however, he wasn't sure how he ended up with it. If it was Niall's, then he thought it was best to hold on to it, then threw it back in the bag.
The door bell rung, snapping Liam out of his focus. "Just a sec!" He yelled, hoping that whoever it was would be able to hear him from way upstairs. He zipped up the luggage bag, then headed downstairs, quickly.
"I haven't got all day, Li." Liam recognized that to be Louis' voice, by his demanding and dominating tone. Liam opened the door, to be greeted by Louis with one hand on his hip and a smirk on his face. Liam was taken back by the suspenders and striped shirt, seeing as it had been a long-while since they've seen Louis dress like that again. In the near-distance, behind him, was the truck - already filled with the other lads and Paul. "I'm sure you would've preferred Niall to be the one waiting outside your day, but they figured I would do a better job at getting you to hurry up, seeing as you take forever to pack."
"Good morning to you too, Louis." Liam bluntly stated, rolling his eyes in the process. "And, for your information, I just got done packing."
"Good, then you should be outside with the rest of us in about two minutes." Louis patted him on the back, then spun around to return to the car. Moments like those were what mood a damper on his mood. Someone was always reminding him more and more than that maybe him and Niall weren't meant to be. There were too many signs, regulations, and blockages. Even so, he was reluctant to allow it to ruin any chance he may have with Niall. It made him a bit more stronger and determined and maybe the grass was much greener on the other side; at least, that's what he had hoped.
Liam sprinted back upstairs, then quickly collected his luggage. He walked down the stairs, cautiously, bags hitting the sides of his legs as he struggled to get all of his belongings to the bottom floor. To his dismay, he lost a grip on one of the duffel-bags, watching it bounce and roll down each step. He flinched at the sound of the contents inside probably shattering, cracking, or whatever the case would be when he opened the bag. "Need some help?" That familiar Irish accent filled his ears, causing him to smile instantly. Niall stood at the bottom of the stairs, smiling up at his secret, love interest. Liam nodded, not being able to find the words to say. Much like any other day, Niall left him speechless; however, Liam had became accustomed to what his life had came to and it didn't bother him much.
