Note. This takes place one year before Karthik and Naira's death in Kyon, i e. when Akshu was 9 and Aaru, 7.
Also, this idea is inspired from an episode of Lizzie McGuire where the siblings were tied to each other by mistake and had to sort their differences.

"So," Karthik placed his chin on his wife's shoulder, and embraced the soft woman from behind, wrapping his hands around her, startling Naira completely. "Did I mention how cute you look today?"
Naira's first reaction was to widen her eyes in mere shock, she wasn't against romance but definitely didn't wanna be caught by her three kids who would then tease them both to death.
"Karthik!" She whisper yelled, her first instance was to get out of his comforting hold, "subah subah?"
"Arrey?" Karthik managed to still envelop her in a back hug, no matter how risky it looked, Naira couldn't help but keep melting and longing for more.
Fourteen years of marriage and they still acted like newlyweds, especially Karthik Goenka, the man who still couldn't believe how beautiful his wife and his children was and he always made sure to embrace them all.
"There's no fixed time for romance, Mrs. Goenka." He kissed her cheek and Naira looked at him with a sly grin, squinting her eyes.
"Aww, but the timing isn't good." She said, holding his arms and smiling at how confused he was at her statement. "Incoming in three, two, one..."
And exactly when she finished her count, in came a barging Aarohi without a knock, trying to button her overalls but failing and behind her came Akshara with her guitar and the polish, and behind her was Kairav, who was although on his mobile, he had papers in his other hand.
Karthik left Naira with a sigh and a groan, while the latter chuckled, shaking her head.
"Ye tumhare bacche bhi na..."
"Aacha ji, mere bacche?" Naira gasped, pulling Karthik's puffed up cheeks and he smiled.
"Papa, please help button this na, please."
"Mumma, you know aaj mera singing competition hai, you better come on time. Aur Papa, dekho na, guitar ko polish karna toh reh gaya."
"No, Papa, first button this overall for me. Ye khulta hi Jaa raha hai."
"Nahi, my guitar is more important. Tum kuch aur pehen lo Aarohi."
"Kyu? Tum bina polish ke guitar nahi baja sakti?"
Karthik and Naira both sighed collectively, it was a chaos when Akshara and Aarohi, their younger daughters locked horns and they did it more often lately. Behind the yelling girls', was Kairav, who was busy in typing something on his mobile, not bothered by the sisters.
More like used to.
"Tum idiot ho," Akshara scoffed, and Aarohi scrunched her face, "aur stupid bhi, how do you manage to score well with such dumb brains? Polished guitar, keys and everything, usske bina main gaa nahi paungi."
"Idiot main nahi, tum ho." Aarohi replied, her one hand still holding her overalls so they wouldn't fall off her little body. "And can't you not be obsessed with this guitar for once? Waise bhi na accha bajati ho na gaati ho."
Both Karthik and Naira kept looking back and forth between their two daughters.
"Tujhse toh aacha gaati hu, Mendak."
"Atleast main sherni ki tarah bewakoofo jaise dahadti nahi rehti."
"Relax!" Karthik screamed, kneeling down and separating the two girls. "Will you both calm down?"
