The Ugly Meet-Cute: Chapter 3 - Everyone breaks into Luci's house and fights

Obviously, Luci told Hana how she met the Snatcher, but it had been 2 days after and Luci held no grudges. Snatcher did come back to Hana's bedroom, even after Hat Kid hit him with her umbrella, and Luci gave him more big books to keep him from getting bored.

Luci finished cleaning the mailroom and the Cubies followed her like ducklings as she strolled around the main hall. She spotted something orange in the kitchen, she let the Cubies start their day of cleaning and playing before heading there to investigate. Quietly, she stepped inside and saw an orange biped cat in chef attire about to begin cooking near the stove. The cat turned to see Luci and she jumped a bit.

"Oh my my! I didn't know the little hatted alien had a friend in her new spaceship!" The cat spoke in a southern accent and it made Luci flustered.

"Don't be shy! The name's 'Cooking Cat'! I'm about to cook up some Earth food and maybe you can help me on making 'em!" Cooking Cat smiled sweetly at Luci who gave back a shy smile. "Now, do you prefer plants or meat? I've already asked the little alien what she likes, but I want to make something for you too!" She said while looking for a cooking pot and ingredients.

"Oh, I don't mind both. I can eat healthily but a little meat won't hurt. Just no coconut or beef." Luci's soft-spoken response perked the chef's ears.

"Well, I'll be...! Looks like you ain't so shy after all! What's your name, miss?" Cooking Cat asked, curious to know about the blue-haired lady.

"I'm 'Lucia', but call me 'Luci'" Luci stated, she doesn't mind when people call her full name, but Luci sounded short, simple, and easy on the tongue.

"'Luci', that's a lovely name!" Cooking Cat prepares the stove with the cooking pot while Luci gathered the ingredients for something she had in mind.

"Is...it okay if I call 'CC' starting now?" Luci shyly asked and it made the chef have a hearty laugh.

"Of course, Miss Luci! Now, what would you like today?" CC kindly asked, Luci pulled out a simple cookbook and flipped the pages to a specific recipe.

"I have started making these pork "Lumpias", they are these stuffed egg rolls and I wasn't sure if they were made properly despite them tasting good..." Luci explained and CC nodded thoughtfully while listening.

"Oh! These aren't so hard to make and don't worry. I'll teach on making them correctly!" CC smiled at Luci, whose eyes lit up like Christmas lights. They continued to chat as they started preparing lumpias.

Once the first batch was ready to taste, Luci was in love after the first bite.

"Is it good, Miss Luci?" Giggled the feline chef and Luci nodded with confidence. Luci wanted to make more lumpias until she checked the clock, she was one hour behind schedule of chores.

"I...I have to get going now, I had a lot to clean up before Hana comes back! So sorry, CC!" Luci placed the first batch of lumpias in the microwave oven and washed her hands in a hurry.

"Oh, don't worry, dear. I can handle it from here. Have a nice day, Miss Luci!" CC waved goodbye to Luci as she left the kitchen. "...Who is Hana?" The chef questioned herself.

Luci headed to the Machine Room to fix the VSG-2 supercomputer, apparently, she had to see if the network was strong so it doesn't end up buffering and crashing any connections. She scrolls through the small diversions that Hana had downloaded, including 'Corgi Quest - To Cloud 9'.

"At least Alan the Corgi had fun with these new adventures despite there being an infinite number of them..." Luci pouted to herself, before turning to the Gallery room to clean off the dust. She sees plenty of peculiar paintings consisting of people Hana has met, Luci's personal favorites were the pop art of Hana, the portrait of Hana's mustached frienemy, and the painting with Snatcher pretending to look shocked, the latter looking silly to her.
