**Third Person POV**
Two days later Hermione, Draco, Harry, and Ginny met in the Headmistress’ office to use her fireplace to floo to the Ministry of Magic. Hermione wouldn’t admit it to the others but she was extremely nervous. She had been in love with Ron at one point, but now she didn’t even care about being friends with him. For the life of her she couldn’t really understand why he had done what he had. Hermione knew that Ron had been mad when she broke up with him, but she had to do it. She couldn’t let him control her anymore and that was the only way to get away from that.
Ginny, who was walking in between Hermione and Harry, was mentally preparing herself to see her brother. She was absolutely furious with him and at this point didn’t consider him her relative. He had nearly gotten her killed… his own sister! Ginny knew why Hermione had broken up with Ron, but she had figured that he would just move on, go back to Lavender or something. But no, he had chosen to become a nut case and try to get Hermione and Draco killed along with anybody else that got in the way.
Draco glanced down at Hermione from his position next to her. He knew she didn’t want to do this. She had made it very clear that this wouldn’t change anything, she still would never been friends with Ron again no matter how much he apologized. Draco looked down at his left arm and subconsciously rubbed it with his right hand. The dark mark had faded some, but it was still very visible. More recently he had begun to wear long sleeved shirts to cover the mark and the cuts that ran across it. Many people had started to accept Draco but many still hated him and constantly gave him grief. In response to the hate there were now 5 razor cuts running diagonally on the dark mark. The others knew nothing of this tho.
Harry kept a gentle hold on Ginny’s hand as they walked to the meeting room where Ron would probably be waiting. He was ready to hear what Ron had to say. If Ron meant the apology today, perhaps there was a chance of them forgiving him for what had happened. Ron had been his best mate since they started at Hogwarts. Harry never expected Ron to do such a thing, especially to Hermione.
The four of them walked into the room where the meeting would take place and found it empty. Hermione looked at the clock and saw they were 10 minutes early. With a sigh she dropped down in one of the chairs and crossed her arms.
“I can’t believe we’re here to listen to his rubbish.” She muttered under her breath as the others took their seats.
“Mione, it’s for his own good. Maybe he’ll see how angry and hurt we all are because of him and want to change back to the old Ron.” Harry said taking a seat across the table from her.
“I don’t really care about what he has to say. He almost got Ginny and Draco killed and was well on the way to getting me killed if you hadn’t figured out about the imperious curse.” Hermione drawled out shifting in her seat letting her eyes dart over to the wall clock.
“It’ll be alright love; he can’t do anything to us since he doesn’t have his magic anymore. I don’t want to be here either, but I’ll listen if it helps him out I guess.” Draco said sitting down beside Hermione and offering her a tight smile.
